Help...need to talk to someone?!


Question: Help!.!.!.need to talk to someone!?
I know that i have a low self esteem!. and i am shy and i have talked to my counsler before!.!.but i just can't seem to shake it!
i just can't seem to raise my hand in class!.or speak up or feel good about my self
i am always in pain!.!.i have bad TMJ, and currently messed up knees& bone bruise on my shin so i can't exercise!.!.!.which is really brining me down!. i've found my self eating alot of wheat products like bread! it is only going to make me gain weight!.!.and feel worse about my self! how would i be able to get a higher self esteem!.!.!.overcome my shyness& and get the courage to talk to somebody about this!. my counsler only knows about how i can't speak up in class!.!.nothing else!. but i don't know how i would talk to her about low self esteem/self worth!. oh and i was also sick!.!.injured alot and abused as a kid!. i'm also 15 about to be 16 years old at a high school!. please help me! i don't know where else to turn! i'm going to like explode with all of these feelings i have inside me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You see you can talk mroe to your counselor or you can use the most mainly used product in our time period: the internet!.

Sure its not exactly safe, but it's fun to get a Penpal over the internet or just a plain old internet buddy you send emails too!. I have two, and since we don't know each other its realy easy to explress our inner feelings!. I teel my interfriends my problems all the time, anf they always give me encouraging words!. Its also really easy to bring up your self esteem, because they compliment you and support you, and since your not talking in person it makes it a lot easier to express yourself!.

You can work on it in school by maybe not going up to a group of people and talking to them, but one person at a time!. Maybe if you sit next to them in class try and start a conversation, it works and you start to grow on them and they grow on you and soon your friends!.

When you were abused as a kid trust issues probably evolved, correct!? So thats why its harder for you!. But not all people are bad once you get to know them!.

Plus weight shouldn't concern you!. I felt fat and was really depressed for it!. then I realized after a while that I don't look so bad in things!. Then I started losing weight!. Every night before you go to bed look in a mirror and tell yourself your beautiful, then every morning as well!. You shouldn't worry about weight until you build up your cinfidence, then it becomes easier once your not as depressed!.

It would be good to speak to your counselor about your low self esteem!. Your counselor would be able to help you come up with ways to build your self esteem!.
Start small and say things that are easy to say!.
Give your opinion about something, "I think !.!.!.!. "
If you are sure you know about something, raise your hand!.
Make small talk with people!. "How are you doing!?" "Did you study for the test!?" "Do you understand the material!?"

hey!.!.i really think that this low self esteem may be rooted somewhere in the fact that you have been constantly compared to sm1 whose claimed to be better than you always!.!.!.!.if this is the case,,,then first of all let me tell you!.!.!.its nothing different or difiicult!.!.most of us feel this at sm or the other tym in our lives!.!.its always good if you talk to your ownself!.!.think good things about your self!.!.!.think and appreciate your achievements!.!.these achievements may be very less in no!. or not too grt!.!.but at the end they are your strenghts!.!.!.!.always saying to yourself that "i am the best!.!.!.i have so much in me!.!.i just need to explore!.!.!.and i know i can !.!.!.i am the best!.!.!.i am so different and cant be compared to anyone in the world!.!.!." these things really help alot!.At initial times they might sound delibrate or unreal!.!.but later i!.e after some time !.!.!.if u constantly say this to ur own self!.!.u surrely get better!.!.!.!.and you must accept the fact that no one is perfect !.!.!.evryone has faults and same are in me!.!.!.but beyond them i am a grt soul!.!.!.!.these things really help/!.!.i tried it out on me!.!.!.and it worked best for me!.!.hope it works for u as well!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok!.!.!.first,find something that you are really good at and work on it!.This helps you to build up your confidence!.

Second,find yourself some time to attend activities organized in school!.This is where you test which scheme of social and emotional character is suitable for you!.
Then, you start to reinforce those qualities and attributes which give people a positive deep impression!.

I was like you 2 years ago!.!.but now i am beginning to shed the shyness from me!.
What i did was just to be as friendly as possible to everyone that i happen to meet and took the initiative to talk to them despite knowing they are not interested in the conversation!. Soon, as time goes by, they will start to appreciate your genial personality and reciprocate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you realize how many times you said "can't" in this paragragh!? 4 times directly!. Can't shake low self esteem!. Can't raise your hand, can't speak up!. Can't exercise!.

That is the truth! You can't! Why!? Partly because you believe you can't!. You tell yourself you can't do this or that all the time!. So you make excuses!. Hurt knee= can't exercise---Poppycock! You can use dumbbells and bench presses, and swimming and a host of other things to exercise!.

Can't speak up!?--Hogwash! You are speaking up right now!.

Bad TMJ!? Your jaws hurt!? Good! Stop wasting your speech with "I can't" words!. Let's deal with what you can do!.

1 If you are going to get better, it is up to you to get better!. You counselor, mother, father, or anyone else can not make you better!.
2 You must not try to speak up!. You must speak up!. In "Star Wars" Master Yoda says "There is no 'try" there is only 'do'!"
3 Set some goals!. Think of something cool that you really want to do!. And get after it!.
4 Shyness is overcome by forcing yourself out of your shell!. Only you can do this!. I, your teacher, your mother, or anyone else can do it for you!. (I admit this is difficult, and you will make mistakes and social blunders, but learn to laugh at yourself a bit, but don't stop!)
5 Make a journal, and write about your feelings!. This may help you keep from "exploding!."
6 Courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to face fear!. So find a trustworthy person like your counselor and start talking about your issues!. I also recommend prayer to God in addition to this!.
7 Deal with your past!. Don't let it hold you back!. You were abused, injure, and sick!. So!? A lot of great men and women were sick and abused as kids!. What does being a sick, abused, and injured kid have to do with today!? Start today and plan your future with "I cans"
