I'm constantly having nightmares, can someone help?!

Question: I'm constantly having nightmares, can someone help!?
I really don't know what to do, or how to make this problem better!. I doubt there is anything I can do, but I just want to make sure!.

For the past year or so I've been getting these really terrible nightmares about people in my family dying or calling me on the phone telling me they are going to die or have a disease!. Most of my nightmares are about my mom or sister dying!. I have noticed that they always seem to occur when I am taking long naps or long sleeps!.!.!.for example I typically get them over the weekends when I sleep in!.

I am so tired of them because every time I get them I wake up in tears and start bawling, even though I know they aren't real!. I get so upset that I usually call my mom or sister bawling to make sure they are ok!. Any suggestions on how to make this problem better!? Any advice is appreciated!. Thanks so much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
get yourself a book about dreams and try to analyze your dreams you will find for the most part that dieing is a fear you have but you will find out what the dreams signify also keep a diary of your dreams each time you have one good bad or indifferent log it!!! if you still cant work through your thoughts in your dreams you might want to go see a dr!. so they can help you figure out what your anxiety is about this and stress are big factors in nightmares and of course try and not eat before bed or have caffeine before going to bed a study shows peps who go longer without eating before bed stimulate their brains in a positive way! also dont watch tv before bed this will start your subconscious going which is where most dreams are coming from good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Drink warm milk or hot chocolate before you sleep!. Also, make sure that your nose is not blocked!. Less oxygen to the brain can make you have more nightmaresWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have had nightmares and night terrors since I was 5!. Now I am 21 and still have them!.
Try reducing caffeine and don't eat 4 hours before you go to bed!.
Some people live by this!.
I have found that your body becomes accustomed to them!.
If I listen to Ambient music that helps!.
Animal noises, waves, and white noise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well one answer is that you are stressed and need to relax
mental as well as physically
also try to not stay up late and get up at the same time daily
so that your body doesnt get thrown off

hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I know this sounds weird, but I control my nightmares!. When I know one is coming, I close my eyes in my dreams and usually open them to another one!. Or I just have fun in them!. "Oh you're dying!? Aren't we all!?"

After all, they are just dreams!. If I wake up crying, I usually laugh it off once I know it was a dream!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dont eat too soon before going to sleep!. I also suggest that you get professional help!. This might be more than warm milk before bed can cure!. Professionals will be able to target the where the dreams might be triggered and they'll be able to fix it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
