Answers:
I don't think you're a bad mom!. Cutters do not want anyone to know!. The reason you did not see it was because she was hiding it!. Treat her like a normal person!. Don't act all weird around her!. I would not take the blade away because that will make her want to cut more!. Ask her why she is doing this!. You are doing the right thing!. I used to cut!. It's not for attention at all!. If she wanted attention she would do something elseWww@Answer-Health@Com

No course your not, she didint want you 2 know about like i dont want my mum to know coz it would be arwkard, but just gve her support and everything will be fineWww@Answer-Health@Com

You are not a bad mother!. Self-harm warrants open discussion with someone she can trust (namely, you)!. Self-harm is not overly unusual during puberty because of the radical hormone changes in the human body, stress, and other factors!.
I will voice some caution with psychologists and counselors!. Please know your rights as a patient and as the guardian of your child!. You are protected by state and federal law when it comes to medical records and privacy matters!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I feel for you - you are NOT a bad Mother, if she didn't tell you how could you know!? Don't dwell on the past - now you know, and taking her to a doctor is the right thing to do!. I know this is a very scary and stressful time - let her know you love her and you are going to do your best to get her help!. Don't be afraid to seek medical attention for yourself if you need to (if you experience anxiety or depression over this)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are reason for that , well that the yahoo community cant help with!.!.!.you must make sure you get her the help she needs and stick with it!.!.!.not you are not a bad mother!. Sometimes chemical or harmone inbalance with casuse some sever reactions!.!.!.Just keep that open door policy!.Can you remember anything that may have happened to her at 14 that would have caused this ,,was there some kind of trauma and have asked this of her !.!.!.What will make her start to do that to herself!.!.you should be able to indentify something!.!.good luck that is something very difficult to deal with but with the right help can be overcomeWww@Answer-Health@Com
