Question: Please help! My 10 year old son says he wants to kill himself! This is serious!!?
Hy 10 year old is dyslexic, but is a ggod student, he seems happy, but tonight he started crying for no reason and says he has dreams that he hurts himself, then he made a gun with his finers and simulated shooting himself in the head!. He says he thinks about shooting himself! There are no guns in my home!. I don't know what to do! He does not want me to talk to his father about this!. What should I do!? This is so serious!.!.!.!. my heart breaks for you!. I have three sons myself (all grown) and when they hurt I hurt!. I can't imagine the horror you are going thru just knowing that he is this sad and depressed!.
How sad that a 10 year old feels this sad and depressed!.
Has he ever done anything like this before!? Has something tragic happened in his life recently!? Does he have a good relationship with you and his father!?
My advice is to get him in church!. Or just take him by the hand and tell him you would like to pray with him, then you and he go someplace quite and kneel and pray to our Heavenly Father and ash Him to take this horrible burden off your son's chest and out of his life!. Maybe pray together daily!. This will give him hope and seeing you be this interested in his life will help him to cope with daily struggles!. Having God in your life will get you through ANYTHING!
