Question: Deppressed Suicidal Friend Help!!?
My Friend Lindsey has depression, and she cuts herself and i hate when she does it, and i try to help her so much, i luvs her (in afriend way) and i don't want her to get hurt, shess really depressed right now and shes been cutting a lot lately and im pretty sure shes going tco commit suicide, please let me know sometthnig i can tell her to stop her!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think under the circumstances her parents need to know about this!.!.!. she does need professional help!.!.!.it's not the betrayal of a friend under these circumstances!.!.!.!.I am sure if they knew what was going on they would be concerned!.!. Or did she ever tell you about her family!.!.!. is there something wrong inside her family!.!.!. did all this start suddenly!? If she is of age try to convince her to make an appointment with a doctor who can refer her to a specialist!.!.!. who hopefully gives her a therapy and tries to find out the cause for her depression!.!. if you know the reason why she is depressed!.!.!.tell someone!.!. if she does not trust her parents!.!. she needs or you should tell some person of age who can convince her that the only way out of this depression and self-destruction is through seeking help of a professional kind!.!.

let her know you are there for her!. and if she feels soooo bad then to stop doing it!. cutting yourself wont fix any problems she has after she cuts herself her problems will still be there and will continue to be there until she learns how to soften up and let go!. help her out!. take her out for ice cream dance something so she can stop thinking about itWww@Answer-Health@Com

What you can do it personally is listening a lot at what she says!. Be there for her!. this doesn't means advise her too much on her actions and on how these are bad for her, she probably knows already!. Being present is what counts more!. Don't get involved emotionally!. Let her feel that she is in charge of her own life and that she can do what ever she likes with it but be assertive when you tell her that you disagree and not because she makes you suffer because in this case you would support her suicidal attitude, rather because you believe in life and what's good in it!.
If you know what life is all about don't tell her, rather show her!.
