What can I do to calm down? [urgent]?!


Question: What can I do to calm down!? [urgent]!?
My paranoia is horrible right now!. It was pretty dormant for couple weeks, but it's back with a vengence!. I'm getting that sick feeling in my stomach and the worst thoughts imaginable [well, that are pretty bad to me]!.

I really don't know what to do to calm down!.

Lie down, close your eyes, breathe deeply, count to ten, then start counting backwards from 100 by sevens (go into the negatives if you want)!. If it doesn't get better, talk to someone you trust, or call one of those help lines!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have paranoia and anxiety this bad, I hope you are getting professional help!.!.!.!.if not, please get some and fast!. If you don't have a therapist and are thinking of harming yourself or others, please call your local Crisis Intervention or a hotline!. Let someone knowledgeable assess you and get you the help you need!.

Other than that, I watch DVDs when I get antsy with my anxiety!.

put something on that will mellow you out and distract you, like a comedy show that will lighten your mood and make the paranoia a little less intense, or put some music on that you enjoy and concentrate on that!. You're not alone, everyone has paranoid thoughts or horrible things that come into their heads and they can really make you feel bad, but they are just thoughts, they usually pass quite quickly! so dont worry! if it continues with no obvious cause it may be wortha trip to your doctor and he might be able to help you feel more stable!. xxxx good luck xxxWww@Answer-Health@Com

Watch a DVD with the commentary track on!. Drink some warm milk!. Paint, draw, or sculpt!. Talk to a trusted friend!. Write!. Vigorous exercise!.

See your doctor and talk about this if it keeps coming!. Therapy or medication or a combination can be helpful for finding strategies that work best for you!. I've only had this happen to me twice in my life but my god does it suck!. I found painting and talking to a friend (a GOOD friend who is not judgemental or freaked out easily) was good!. My friend and I went in the yard and threw old fruit and eggs at a tree!. Helped a lot, for the time!. But if you keep having these attacks, talk to your doctor about it!. There are things that can help and you shouldn't have to live like this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
