Put your mind in a position where it wants to shut itself off, and sleep!. See insomnia treatments, in section 3, at ezy build, below!. Use one of the relaxation methods, in bed, after lights out, on pages 2, 11, 2!.c, or 2!.i, but they can take some time to learn, (progressive muscular relaxation excepted) so learn and become proficient in their use during the day; an alternative is to use the EFT, in section 53, and pages 2!.q, and 2!.o, saying to yourself: "Even though I currently have a sleep disorder, I deeply and completely accept myself!." (or choose your own wording) while you use the acupressure tapping!.

Find out which works best for you, in the daylight hours, so you will be prepared, come bedtime!. For many people, a good idea is to develop a set "wind down" routine for the last hour before bedtime, so your subconscious mind learns that it is time to put thinking aside, and prepare for mindfulness, (awareness, without cogitation/purposeful thought) or the EFT, in preparation for sleep, but the idea with mindfulness is to not even think about sleeping: just drift off, naturally, during exercising those techniques!. (The following is a variant of EMDR therapy, which has been used successfully for those people suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, insomnia, and anxiety: it is easily learned, quick to use, yet can be very effective)!. Prior to using either of the methods in the above paragraph, first sit, or lie down comfortably, and take a deep breath!.

Then, without moving your head, move your eyes from the left, to the right, and back again, taking around a second to do so (say: a thousand and one: this takes approximately a second)!. Repeat this procedure (without the words, although you can count, subvocally if you like) 20 times!. Then close your eyes and relax!. Become aware of any tension or discomfort you feel!. Then open your eyes, and take another deep breath, and repeat step one, closing your eyes, and relaxing afterwards, in the same manner!. Then, repeat the procedure one last time!. Some people may find that this is all they need do!. With experience, you may find that you can practise this with your eyes closed!. http://www!.ezy-build!.net!.nz/~shaneris
Try having a couple of cups of green tea, daily (one first thing: the other not later than 6 hrs before bedtime!)!. As with all herbal/green teas, use lemon/lime, and/or a little sweetener (NOT ARTIFICIAL!!!) but no cream, or milk!.

Xylitol, or Stevia is preferable, (health food stores) or fruit sugar (fructose, such as "Fruisana", from supermarket sugar aisles) or even a little honey, because these will reduce "sugar spikes", which later deplete you of energy!. Minimise/eliminate consumption of highly processed foods, particularly grain products, such as white bread, donuts, cake, cookies/biscuits, or anything with sugar!. Opt for more wholefoods, non-starchy vegetables, and fruit!. Protein, such as bacon/ham, eggs, kippers, etc!. taken on its own, or with very little carbohydrate, early in the morning, for breakfast, is known to provide a longer lasting energy boost, which doesn't have the depleting effect of simple carbohydrates, afterwards, that refined flour products, and sugar do!. Move back your sleeping time 30 mns, daily, until you are going to bed, and getting up early: shower, and exercise, or at least get some sunlight, to reset your circadian rhythm!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to make yourself a routin sleep schedule!. You may even consider sleeping pills or staying up for a lnog period of time to get you to fall asleep earlier and then you will gradually develop a sleeping schedule internally and then at that time every night you'll feel tired and want to go to sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Set up a regular routine of going to bed at the same time every night and getting up the same time every morning!. Have a notepad and pen by your bed so you can write things you need to remember!. A half hour before bed try yoga or meditation!. As 8 or 9 rolls around, keep your activities light (nothing that will get your adrenaline pumping)!. When you lie in bed consciously relax your muscles and breathe deeply!. Try to keep all thoughts out of mind!. If you think it'll help, play instrumental music quietly and just enjoy it until you're lulled to sleep!. I hope this helps!. :o)Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont consider sleeping pills lik cat suggests not a good thing in the long run, you need to wake up early to get your body into the routine of getting up at that time even if it means your tired and even if it means your getting very little sleep, and try and get to bed at 10 or 11 waking up at 6 or 7, 8 hours sleep is enough for the average person these days!. Cut out the caffeine and energy drinks also there not got for your metabolic state!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
