Dealing with a partner with ADHD??!

Question: Dealing with a partner with ADHD!?!?
I have been with a man with ADHD for some time!. I would have to say it is sometimes a very hard relationship!. Sometimes I think its me not understanding, and other times I think its him using it as an excuse!. We both love each other or would definitely not continue!. I get aggirvated with his so often, change of plans, and he gets aggirvated with me always getting angry!. It seems we both always get aggirvated with each other, but not because we dont want to be with each other, but because are brains are working so differently!. I absolutely refuse to give up on a relationship with someone who I care so much about, because of this!. Any suggestions for a woman in a relationship with a man with ADHD!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, if your boyfriend is not on meds (or doesn't) want to, then I suggest you put him on an ADHD diet!. It has been said to work wonders on people with ADHD symptoms!. You can get more info on ADHD diet from this site:

http://www!.adhdquestionsandanswers!.com/A!.!.!.

Take a look at the sections "ADHD Vitamins" and "treatment for ADHD" also when browsing the site!. You will have a better picture of the whole thing!.

In the context of relationship, my advice is for both of you to realise that many things we do or argue about are, in reality, only "petty matters"!. Since both of you love each other very much, make a conscious effort to forget about these petty matters and focus on the BIG PICTURE - which is the love you guys have for each other!. Life is just too short to get upset or angry over petty issues!.

Someone once said to me: Don't take life too seriously, because we are all "just passing through"!. In the short time that each of us are given, let's focus on the positives and enjoy life as it should be enjoyed!. If you do that, there is very little chance for regret later on!.

I wish both of you good health and peace of mind!. May the love you have for each other overcome all the obstacles you guys are currently facing or might face in the future!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sign him up for Stratera, a safe, non controlled medication that is very effective for ADHD!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell him that you will try to be fully understanding if he promises not to use his disease as an excuse!.

Is he on medication or seeing a psychiatrist for his ADHD!? Medication can be amazingly helpful!.!.!. it turned everything around for me and my boyfriend when he got his ADHD under control!.

Agree to be understanding of each other, and when you feel angry about some problem that the ADHD has caused, agree to both step back and take a deep breath!. Count to ten, then figure out how to fix the problem!. Getting mad at each other doesn't help anything! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

People with ADHD are bad at relationships, you can't blame him!. Get him some treatment might help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
