Advice to help cure my terrible depression?!

Question: Advice to help cure my terrible depression!?
I found out last Aug that my partner of 14 years had been cheating on me for nearly 2 years!.Although he dumped the other woman and we tried to make a go of it,things were never the same!.I was pregnant and lost the baby shortly afterwards!.I have suffered from terrible depression ever since and cry every day!.I have seen counsellors, had hypnotherapy and been prescribed anti depressants by my GP (which made me worse so I had to stop taking them)I am now at the end of my tether and feel like my life is pointless and empty (i`m 40)I would be grateful for any advice as to what else I could try to get myself out of this awful rut (i have no close family for support)
ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Listen to music that makes you happy and feel how you used to!.
Move about when you can!.
Take care of yourself, even if no one See's you!.

Always tell your doctor how you feel!. NEVER stop taking medication on your own, even if you feel it's not working!. There are many anti-depressants your doctor can try!. Ask your
GP to refer you to a psychiatrist!. Even though GPs do know a little about everything, they don't know enough about psychiatry to work with all of the treatment that is necessary to treat depression!. A psychiatrist will prescribe different medication until they find one that works for you!. Continue to talk to you doctors because they can't help you if they don't know how you feel!. Depression is not your fault, they just want to help you!.

email me if you need someone to talk to

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh hon, I'm so sorry *hugs*

Maybe you should try to find a support group for people with depression- if not in real life, then an online forum!. You've had a hard time and I know right now the future looks bleak, but things will get better!.

If you're not religious maybe you could look into visiting church; if you are, then concentrate on praying!.

Maybe try to find an artistic outlet, or a different kind of medication than the one you were taking!.!.!.

Best of luck, dear!.!.!.I hope things look up for you soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The most important thing to do is find a support group!.
You will be in my prayers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need good friends round about you!. If you have anyone to lean on, then lean on them!.

My husband suffered a break down 3 years ago, and he kept everything to himself!. You need to talk, there are groups which you can attend!. Speak to your doctor he will be able to reccommend a group!.

Also does your doctor know you have stopped taking your tablets, as they do take 6 - 12 weeks to kick in, and after that the dosage may need increased!. They do work, it just takes time and patience!.

Take care, your life is never pointless!. You just need a boost!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, I am really sorry that all these horrible things have happened to you!. It must be so hard to cope with it all!. I just wanted to say that depression is a hard thing to cope with alone, maybe you could try a support group where you can just talk to people in a similar situation (not the same obviously but I mean that they are depressed too)!. Also always remember that usually the pain and trouble are only a passing thing and that things do get better even if it seems like they never will!. I've been very depressed before (to the point of being suicidal) but I always remember that there was a time when I wasn't depressed and that there will be a time again when I will feel better!. If you just want to rant at someone or just someone to listen you can email me!. I really hope you are feeling better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Find a hobby!. If you find yourself with nothing to do during the day, try changing something around the house!. Put up a new coat of paint in the living room!. Re-arrange the furniture, complete a puzzle, go see a movie!. As long as you keep yourself busy and your mind off of things!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

All I can say is keep on keeping on!. Its hard as hell but you gotta keep going!. If your anti depressants didn't work ask for a new one and keep trying until one works!. It also sounds like you need anti-anxiety meds ie!. xanax, valium, klonopin, librium etc!.!. But be careful these can be addicting!. Just take it one day at a time, things will work out,it can only get better!. If you really need someone to talk to e-mail me at funnyguy69@inbox!.com I will even give you my number!. Im doing this because I know how it feels to be on the edge!. Just please please DONT EVER think suicide!. I hope you feel better and if you need me you know how to find me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First Fairy Girl, I'm really sorry for you, you have had it a bit rough, I must disagree with 'Sonya', and know she means well but your Doctor is your very last call, keep OFF anti-depressants!. Your only a young lady and your letting your grief take over you life, you HAVE to get out and meet people, join a club, go to parties, anything as long as you meet people and make friends, dress up in your finest and go for walks and talk to people, feel good and walk into the future, do something different, anything but different and feel good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your GP tried to help, but you must realize that he is NOT a SPECIALIST!. Go to a PSYCHIATRIST who does specialize in psych medications!.

Be willing to try more than one medication!. Some of these will take a few weeks before your body starts feeling some relief!.
The pills are not "magic", but they will help to provide something to "help prop you up" while you address your problems in therapy!.

As far as support, it is possible that you may asked to join a group therapy to help you through this difficult time!.

Suggestion - find a friendly church near you, and attend often!. You will likely find support and friendship there, and someone who will pray for you!.

For a positive contact call 1-800-NEWLIFE They will speak with you initially, and have a nation-wide referral service to counselors who can address your problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
