What is the diference between ASD vs ASC!? How to detect it in child's behaviour!?
I have a three year old and she is currently lined up for a series of evaluation appointments but the waiting period is 8 n- 14 mnths for pretty much all of them!. Our GP mentioned ASD but she would not diagnose because she is not sure, but I am very concern!. What are the signs I should look for!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think it is good that your GP wants a specialist to diagnose your little girl!. autism is not a diagnosis one should makelightly!. i am a certified psychologist and i do some screening for autism, some things we look for is delay in speech, lack of eye contact and repetitive mannerisms!.!.!. now just because a child has one or all of the things i mentioned doesnt mean autism!.!.!. thats why it is so important to go through these assessments!. i knowthe wait stinks but at least you will know they have made a careful diagnosis to help your daughter best they can!. also, autism spectrum disorders or autistic disorder is the Diangostic term!. condition im sure is used interchangeably!. check these websites out in the meantime
