being nearly raped--I'm talking assualted, and caught off guard and screaming, and he runs away!?

It all depends on the person, the circumstances, their life up to that point, how they handled it immediately after, mid term after, etc!. What you are describing sounds like post-trauma!. No way to tell if it's the disorder, but it sounds like you would benefit from spending a little time with a therapist!. The more you can let out, the better you will feel!.
