Answers:
Yes I have been on them for 2 yrs with a mixture of other things!. I'm on 225 per day 150 morning 75 eve!. They have been a combination or other medication, but all has helped to reduce my depression whilst I leaned to cope!. Nothing will rid you of depression overnight, its a mixture of medication and treatment, closely monitored!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It takes about 3 weeks to get into your system then you should start feeling a little brighter, but it is a fairly long term thingWww@Answer-Health@Com

No - its crap!. It hasn't done anything for me and it makes your original problem even worse when you try to withdraw from it!.
Google effexor petition to see peoples comments on this drug and its withdrawal syndromeWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Yes Ive been on it a while & 225mg which I think is the max dose, dont think its helped much but what would I be like without it !?
I dont know either!.!.!.!.what suits some doesnt work for others I know it is rated as a good antidepressant so I would advise give it a go it may help you even a bit :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I get really bad depression but if I eat the right food IE healthy and go to the gym and don't drink to much alcohol or soda I don't need the medications I think most people would be really surprised how effectively depression can be handled with just a few changes, also keep really busy it might be a natural feeling to steer clear of people when your depressed but try also to resist this urge BTW cardio exercise is much more effective than the gentler types, If your young and otherwise fit try and get your blood really pumping it releases all kinds of naturally occurring feel good chemicals and hormones into your system its a much better option than these permanently mind altering drugs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Antidepressant do not improve the outcome of depression in the vast majority of people!. They should be reserved for severe depression, and then only when other forms of treatment such as cognitive behavioural therapy have been considered or tried!.
There is evidence that these drugs make some people worse and Venlafaxine has been associated with an increased risk of suicide!.
Make sure that the prescribing doctor is up-to-date and can justify giving you the drug!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
