Should I get help for my friend that cutts themselve???!

Question: Should I get help for my friend that cutts themselve!?!?!?
Answers:
First of all, I want to say thank you for being concerned for your friend!. It takes a lot to want to help a friend in need!. Good for you!.

The first step would be to talk with them!. Try talking to them about it and see if they talk or get real defensive!. Also, I would talk to a trusted adult, such as, a parent, teacher, or youth Pastor (if you have one)!. This is not something you want to forget about and pretend they don't cut themselves!. This is a serious problem that needs serious attention!.

I used to cut myself when I was a teenager and I knew I needed help, but didn't want to do it alone!. I was waiting for someone to "rescue" me and help me!. Finally my friend talked with me about it and I broke down!. I sought help with her and my mom!. I've never been better since then! I am so thankful my friend was concerned, because if it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't be here today!.

Also, my husband is a youth Pastor and we see a lot of the teens go through this!. Recently, I caught one of the teens girls cutting herself!. I confronted her and she said she didn't want to do it anymore and wanted to get help!. I called her mother and sat and talked with both of them!. She has since been getting help and is on the road to recovery!. She was crying out for help and just needed someone to help her!.

Please take action immediately and try to get her help!. Good luck and thanks for being a concerned friend!Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, they have to want the help themselves!. it sounds corny, but instead of getting them help, try talking to them!. or, at least listening, that may be what they need the most!. if it starts escalating and turning really dangerous, maybe THEN get them some help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best you can do is tell his or her parents about it and step away from it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you know for sure your friend is a cutter, yes, get them help immediately!. It might feel like not the right thing to do, but trust me it is!. You need to tell a responsible adult (your parents, a guidance counselor, a therapist)!. If you tell someone now, you could save your friend's life!. Better to get help now than before it's too late!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

HELL YEAH THERE'S A STEAK KNIFE SALE AT HOME DEPOT GET HIM ONE LMAO LOL HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. cutting is a scream for attention and wanting help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I recently went through the same situation as this, a friend of mine confided in me that she self harmed and was really unsure of what to do with her life!. Firstly, be there for your friend, be supportive and an ear for when they need you!. Don't just get help for them, talk to them and suggest going to see someone together!. It's a very slow process and can be wearing on you so make sure you have someone to talk to as well!. Take it step by step!.
Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

i think you should try and talk your friend into getting some help that's what friends are for i know i would get help for my friend if they needed it talk to the help lines like kids help phone or stress lines they can help you out so look them up in your local phone bookWww@Answer-Health@Com

Talk to them about it but don't tell their parents/teachers, because that's crossing a boundary!.

Most people who self harm are embarrassed by it and don't wish for the help, maybe just a friend to talk to who won't judge them!.

I know your trying to help, but look at it like this!.!.!.if you had a secret that you would be horrified at if your parents/anyone else knew you wouldn't aprichaite someone telling them!.

A friendly chat is sometimes better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If they cut themselves, and they tell you they cut themselves, then they want attention!.

Authority can give them attention!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, talk to your friends parents and your school principal,,if nothing is done then call your friend an ambulanceWww@Answer-Health@Com

The best thing I can tell you, is just tell your friend that you are there if she ever wants to talk!. Unfortunately, when someone is going through severe depression, they can't be helped until they are ready to get help!. Just be supportive and tell her you're there for her and maybe give her information on counseling services in your area!. Good luck to both you and your friend!Www@Answer-Health@Com

definitely!. first you should talk to them about what is causing them do to this!. At first it may seem that they're angry about getting into their business, but afterwards they'll really appreciate that someone cares!. After you find the issues help them with those issues!. if the problem persists then maybe you should go to their parents or something!. Just think, if you stepped aside and did nothing to help, how would you fill if they did something really bad to themself!? If you care for that person, then show it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ya!.
of course manWww@Answer-Health@Com
