You can become physically addicted to alcohol over a period of time- this is what causes your DTs and withdrawals- Mentally it depends on why you drink!. For pretty much anyone it is to make you feel different from how you feel now!. A lot of guys drink and see that it makes them more relazed around women- so they keep on!. Some women drink because it makes them feel sexy, or parents might drink to loosen up and relax after work, kids might drink to be funny, some to forget something bad that occured- whatever- but once the person sees that the alcohol will change how they feel- then they return to it whenever they want that alteration- then over time it's not only about the emotion but it's physical too- yikes! good to never get that far- and not to use alcohol to solve a problem!. Because once you sober up- the problem is still there!. OOH- which reminds me- drink to cover up a feeling- then you feel bad about the original problem plus about drinking- and anything you feel bad about doing while you were drinking- so then you try to cover that all up by drinking more- it's a sick cycle carousel!Www@Answer-Health@Com
i think it mentally addictive because i serves as a depressant or some people!.!.!.physically!.!.!.probably b/c the body starts to crave for it once it is consumed for a long time!.!.!.!.however, i think its just a mental think!.!.!.hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com
