Because, alot of times people ask question no one really has an immediate answer to!. "Why am I lazy!?" "how do I stop being so angry!?" etc!. Those kinds of questions require too much knowledge, time, and commitment that any typical stranger has!. Thus, it is why people tend to suggest someone go see a counselor!. They assume that because you're asking those kinds of questions, you must've not already seen one yet!.
Granted, you could still come here for help, but it's not likely you'll get any good prescriptions rather than ideas on how to handle or look at certain things in your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lol, most ppl would benefit from a little time with a good therapist never mind the status of their mental health!
All studies show that the most effective treatment for serious mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc is meds and therapy, hence the counseling recommendation!.
Ppl with psychological problems should get help and counseling is the appropriate place!.
No one on Y/A is qualified to render a diagnosis whereas a counselor/doctor is!.

And why not!? Psychiatrists, etc are trained for years to be able to help you with your problems!. Are you going to take an answer from a random dude (or dudette) on the internet over years of practice!. I know a psych is nothing but an educated-guesser, but at least they're educated!. I have never had it said to me but I have said it many times, why do I say it because it's true, there are some issues that just need to be addressed in counseling setting!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't ask questions that should technically be answered by professionals!. People on here are just average people and their best advice is for someone to go seek help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
