Anxiety anyone..........?!


Question: Anxiety anyone!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
Just wondering what others do to help with anxiety!?
Not talking about meds (I'm on them)!.
Not talking about counseling!. (I've done it)
I mean when your having it real bad, what do you do to calm yourself down!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to find a place that is your comfort zone either mental, a room, park, library,etc!. Exercise and make sure you are getting sunlight!. Repetition of something also can be soothing as in playing a meaningless game!. Above all else, you have to work on shutting down that switch in your mind that says: Oh my!.!.!.!.! Right now I am enjoying Y/A!. Good people, good poems and some laughs along the way!. Now cheer up or I will be forced to tell you an Ole and Lena joke!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm 13 and i suffer from high anxiety my therapist told me that when I'm feeling overwhelmed or i cant breath or any of the triggers i get 2 full a bucket up with freezing cold water and stick my head in it!(sounds crazy but it stops me feeling over whelmed) or suck on ice, splash my face with water, stick ice cubes on my nose(even up my noes),take a freezing shower, Just put ice anywhere! it really helps because all you can think of is how freezing cold it is or even just distract yourself for a while take a walk,shop just as long as your not just sitting about!.Hope it helps :DWww@Answer-Health@Com

I don't have much anxiety because I don't let myself get to that point!. I have a strong sense of self so I don't let other people get to me, and these are very important:

1) I jog every day!. Some times up to 10-12 miles!. I think meditation is a good alternative if you don't have time to exercise!. It totally relaxes me though!.

2) I set myself up to win!. When dealing with someone I figure out what the win and loss is going to be out of the situation!. If the loss is too much I figure something else out, or figure out another way to spend my time!.

3) I thoroughly enjoy the simple pleasures in life!. Sitting outside and drinking tea is as good as farting and having sex in my book!.

4) I keep a lot of friends around!. My friends are all really smart and I learn tons off of them!. They are also good listeners!.

5) I work hard and often keep myself stimulated!. The other day I read a back issue of the smithsonian and there was a great article about eunuchs in the forbidden city in beijing!. f'ing awesome!.

6) When I get low I either go for a wan k or drink my favorite English Ale!.

Same problem I get sometimes!. No meds for me though, and counseling wasn't really my game!. What I found for the really high anxiety issues, though, has really been great!. Burn up the energy; go for a run, crank up some tunes and dance, hit the gym or the pool!. For one, your brain works out the kinks a lot faster when you get your heart pumping!. It's a great way to put negative energy to a positive use!. When you are done, go soak in a tub for a while and you'll find that relaxation you want!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah, meds and counseling rarely work!. I've tried many different types of medicine and none have worked!. You just have to figure out for yourself how to stop them before they happen!. Anxiety is all in your head so only you can fix it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Make sure you talk to someone, there are websites out there just google anxiety help of something like that and also look for a support group in your area!. If you go to it other people may be able to help you learn to cope with them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know why your medication isn't working!. If you aren't on Lexapro, try it!. It does work!.

Yeah, counceling doesn't work!.
For me!.!.!.When I have anxiety attacks, I drink water!. Close my eyes, and take really deep breathes!. I try to loose focus of everything around me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Realize that the world could easily end tomorrow that kills my anxiety for the most part and I get easily highly anxietized :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
