Answers:
Racing thoughts are when you think of a million different things at once!.
It's when you begin to think of one thing and then another thought comes in and interferes with the 1st one and then another thought comes in and interferes with the 2nd and so on!.
Bi-polar disorder does not cause racing thoughts!. Racing thoughts are believed to be originated in the brain, where there is an overactive hypothalamus!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Racing thoughts!.!.!.!.

Thoughts come stampeding through your head with no warning and no meaning, and one thought turns into another that multiples exponentially from there, growing newer subthoughts and try to outrun the previous thoughts!. Your mind is ahead of your brain, it feels like, and you think things, KNOW things, before you've ever even contemplated them!.

It is bizarre, and can be both invigorating and maddening depending on the context of the thoughts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I occasionally have racing thoughts!. It is like being in front of the speaker at a rock concert, with a strobe light in front of you, and trying to hold an important conversation at the same time!. It sucks!. They happen when I am really stressed out or am not dealing with my negative emotions wellWww@Answer-Health@Com

racing thoughts are just you mind constantly thinking and going, till the point you just wanna break soen and cry!. i guess thats just kind of a hard question to answer but it is also accocoated with depression and anxiety!. i have them at times, it really sucksWww@Answer-Health@Com

where your thoughts have no basis, they just keep coming and going and you have no idea what really is going on, and no bipolar disorder isnt what causes itWww@Answer-Health@Com

Racing thoughts could be a sign of mental distress but I have found as a mental health suffer that racing thoughts often caused from boredom and stress ok I will simplify it sometimes you get stressed out and roll things around in your head and if you have nothing else to do till the rolling around in your head becomes an avalanche and takes over understand!? When thoughts begin to race the best thing to do is take a run literally run in place down the road around the house if you have ever tried to keep a steady pace and have racing thoughts its nearly impossible, racing thoughts is simply not one thing and could be many different things but pls try this out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

racing thoughts are when you can not get one thought to remain in your mind!. it is like your mind just jumps from one thought to another!. cannot think straight as the thoughts are coming so fast at you that you cannot perform the simplest task that requires any concentration!.
schizoaffective disorder has these characteristics!. anxiety also has this!. add or adhd does also!. post traumatic stress this happens also!. it is also a form of mania in bipolar patients!. most probably a thought disorder, as well!. there are so very many!. mental health is like a puzzle!. you figure it out a piece at a time and you create a picture of a healthy person!. a person will not feel right, and will still suffer many ailments if the person is not treated for all emotional conditions present!. often one medication will work on thought, while another works on abnomal feelings and emotions!. then we have anxiety to throw in there!.
i do not feel that an antidepressant alone will take care of all the things that you mentioned!. some antidepressants have a very mild antianxiety!. it would depend on the level of anxiety!. depression and post traumatic stress disorder will do some crazy things to ones mind!. so will mania of bipolar!. it will all leave you feeling rather crazy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
