Question: A question about Social Anxiety HELP PLEASE!!!!?
When ever i'm in a conversation with someone i can't concentrate
on them because i can't get my mind off how i feel and how i look
to them!. This is a big problem for me because it makes me isolate myself from freinds and family!. I used to be confident and have a clear mind but now i'm the opposite and i don't know how to face people without feeling like a dick!. Can anyone relate or give me any views on how to overcome this paralyzing problem!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i am exactly the same hah!. i smoked marijuana for awhile to kinda numb that feeling and to always feel happy!. i recently realized that this is not the way to go, as it only masks the problem and does not fix it!. There is actually this new thing called "Cognitive Therapy"!. I just started it and its great!. look it up on google or something to get an idea about it and see if your interested!.

other than that stay positive and know your not alone on that!. all i can say other than that is if your are not currently getting exercise atleast 3-4 times a week i highly recommend it!. exercise boosts serotonin levels in your brain thus making you happier and less self-concious!. also eating healthy actually helps alot more than you would think!.

I can so relate!. I have had problems with anxiety since I can remember!. It is so hard to deal with the physical symptoms, and still try and try to talk yourself like you are "ok"!. I went on a website today, because 3/4 of my children also have severe anxiety!. It is a self help website!. Plenty of things to look at and work on!.!.if you have the time and want to improve yourself!. Don't give up, you can make it go away!. Sometimes medication helps, but sometimes it makes things worse!. I wish you well because at least you recognize what the actual problem is!. i get the same thing, whenever someone i don't usually talk to approaches me in conversation,i get nervous and start mumbling!. instead of focusing on what they're saying, i wonder what they're thinking of me, and have trouble maintaining eye contact, i try to seem calm and relaxed, but it gets awkward

drinking or weed usually makes it easier for me to talk to people, but like the person above me said, this doesn't help in the long run!. sometimes i talk to someone comfortably for a long period of time when i'm intoxicated, but the next day have trouble maintaining a conversationWww@Answer-Health@Com
