I know the feeling, dude!.

I cope with it like it's an everyday thing!. I've accepted that I have it, and even though I know all my "rituals" are bullshit, I still follow the "Commander" voice, you know!?

I'll think, "Gee, if that PENCIL isn't in the right SPOT, I'll die!"

It's completely ridiculous to think things like that!.

Plus, I have anxiety/panic disorder that comes and goes all the time!. So my OCD and anxiety meld into each other, which makes me go nuts!.

I always used to think, "If so many people have this, how do they deal with it!? I've never seen anyone!."

I later found that a lot of my friends had OCD -to a lesser or greater degree- and they dealt with it all the time, NOT letting it interfere with their everyday lives!.

Plus, I did a lot of research and found that I had a lot of the same "rituals" and feelings that many others had!. Even things I thought no one could conceive!.

So, I just had to accept that I had it!.

You can too; and don't let it get the best of you!.

[As a side note: People with OCD usually have a higher level of intelligence!.!.!. isn't that great!?]Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is a quiz for this, in section 1 (psychological tests) in ezy build, below!. If it takes up more than an hour, daily, gets worse, or interferes with your life to any great degree; seek therapy, because it can quickly take over a person's life!. See section 7, on OCD, at ezy build, below and also view section 6, since some consider to be an anxiety related disorder!. Practice one of the relaxation methods on pages 2, 11, 2c, or 2i, daily, and when needed!. Also, give the EFT a good tryout, to see if it helps you!. There is also a version for use in public places, (if you like, you can claim to have a headache, as you massage/lightly tap your temples)!. "Even though I suffer from OCD, I deeply and completely accept myself!." Section 53, and pages 2, 2!.q and 2!.o at http://www!.ezy-build!.net!.nz/~shaneris also refer!.
(The following is a variant of EMDR therapy, which has been used successfully for those people suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, insomnia, and anxiety: it is easily learned, quick to use, yet can be very effective)!. Prior to using either of the methods in the above paragraph, first sit comfortably, and take a deep breath!. Then, without moving your head, move your eyes from the left, to the right, and back again, taking around a second to do so (say: a thousand and one: this takes approximately a second)!. Repeat this procedure (without the words, although you can count, subvocally if you like) 20 times!. Then close your eyes and relax!. Become aware of any tension or discomfort you feel!.

Then open your eyes, and take another deep breath, and repeat step one, closing your eyes, and relaxing afterwards, in the same manner!. Then, repeat the procedure one last time!. Some people may find that this is all they need do!. Some people may find that this is all they need do!. With experience, you may find that you can practise this in public, with your eyes closed, which greatly widens the window of opportunity for its use, and avoids attracting unwanted attention!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i see a doctor!. i take medications and it nolonger is part of my life!. i also attend therapy to adjust to the fact that i feel as if i am missing a part of me!. i use to love how energized i was, but i drove others crazy with my obsessions of to cleanliness!. i am normal now and allow things to be moved in my house without flipping out or feeling absolutely compelled to clean or move objects back in their exact spot!. when i started feeling better, i had to work with laziness!. i lost my purpose and became lazy!. i am glad that i lost this part of me now, but it was very hard to learn to behave differently and fill up this obsessive time with healthy activities!. it keeps me busy and keeps my mind off my old behaviors!. i had to learn to let things get dirty and to not obsess on things i cannot change!. without medication and therapy, i would not be better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
