Most do, but sometimes when someone has a Psychiatric Illness such as Schizophrenia, their Psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions are so intense that the person is convinced they are real (especially if the person is not on meds)!. It's called lack of insight!. Some people with Personality Disorders lack insight as well!. Some individuals have wonderful insight and are totally aware of their disorder!. So, it all depends on the person, as well as their age!. Many older individuals have had the experience of going through several relapses, needing to get readjusted on meds!.!.!.etc!.!.!. So most older people are fully aware!. Many youngsters have a difficult time accepting their mental illness and try really hard to fight it (sometimes without meds)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes!. But out of shame they always deny everything!. We know how mental illness/problem affect our lives!.
Even if it's a worse mental problem, but still they knew about it!. They even experience the one we called "lucid interval", although it's temporary and occurs once in a while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

honey they know something is wrong with them!.!.!.some choose to deny it!. not wanting to become a person with mental illness!. i am mentally ill and have been for over 25yrs!. there is such a stigma that comes along with being mentally ill, that most dont want to be added into "that group"!. people think if they have a mental illness they will be looked at differently!.!.!.and to a point they are right! but we are people too, we just see life differently than others!. i feel that pretty much everyone one on this earth has some type of mental illness, depression, anxiety you name it every one has experienced some type of mental illness or will experience it at some point and time in their life!.

Most do!. Occasionally there will be a person who has some problems and seems to be completely unaware of them but that is denial in its extreme!.
They do try to hide it too!. They feel that most people will judge them on it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its depends on the issue whether the person has insight!. People with depression know they are depressed but people with DID don't know what is wrong until it is brought to their attention!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think most people with mental problems know that they are not feeling so good!. Some people with certain mental problems think it is everyone else that has the problem!.
