I DO!!! I am glad(well not really GLAD, but you know)that there is someone else that does too!. I thought I was alone forever!! Spring and Summer have gotten me really depressed for the last 10 years!. We(my p-doc and I)have decided that because Spring and Summer mean 'NEW', I long for things in my life to kind of 'start over' so to speak!. I don't want to give up the part of my life that my kids are involved, but sometimes, I wonder what it would have been like if I married my 'first love', how my life would be different!.!.!.!.!.also, where would I be if I had been able to go to college right after High school instead of waiting 12 years and 2 kids!. Where would I be if I hadn't gotten into the car accident that made me leave my career(nursing), I was really going places!!
So, it's the wanting for something different, the want so bad, that you get depressed because you realize it won't happen!.
Seasonal Affective Disorder is not just for winter anymore! I believe it's called Atypical SAD!.
I am happiest in fall and winter!.!.!.!.everything is under cover, hidden!.!.!.

Oh yes, ALL the time!. The heat and intense sunlight during the summer make me want to shut the blind-- everything feels dizzy and too fast-- I don't like anyone I meet or anywhere I go!.

I pretty much lock myself inside!.

I do best during the fall!.

It might not be seasonal affective disorder, but perhaps your body doesn't react well to the weather or the general feeling!.

If you've experienced an episode of Mania, you may want to consult a psychiatrist to see if he thinks you're bipolar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

*Usually* seasonal affective disorder is triggered by low light levels in winter, but there is definitely a less common summer variant!. Like the regular form, the reverse form is about light levels, not temperature!.

I read once that cold plunges (ie jumping into very cold water) had had some success in treating the reverse form!. Brrr! I should try that some time!. I'm hit very hard by summer, not just the heat but the light levels!. Bright yellow light and clear blue skies weigh heavily on me, and yes, I've also had people doubt that there could be a summer form!. 8-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please don't let that affect you!. I have the same problem beginning of spring to mid spring and then again in late August!. It's like clock work for me!. I also have to hospitalized beginning of Jan!. Every yr same thing!. My husband says you can put your calender to me and know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well the people who tell you that are wrong most likely!. I really and highly doubt that's true!. And that's normal, some depression is seasonal!. But you should still get that checked out by a doctor just in case it's something else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I actually love the spring summer, it's my favorite!. I love when the flowers and stuff first starts blooming!. Not much of a help to you, I suppose!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I actually feel somewhat hopeful during spring but I get extremely low in the long winter months!. The thing I hate about summer though is that all of my friends ride BMX and I'm too lazy to ride along with them haha!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
