I take !.25mg a day of risperdal for OCD intrusive thoughts!. When I first started taking it, I was on !.5mg and it made me VERY sleepy!. Switching down to !.25mg achieved the desired effect!. No more OCD flashes!.

Weight gain is a side effect, but that can be managed by simply watching what you eat!. Other than that, I haven't had any noticeable side effects!.

It's a good drug!. But as always, drugs are tolerated differently by everyone!. Try it, and if it doesn't do what it's meant to, talk to your doctor about an alternative!.

Best of luck,

I take risperdal to help with racing thoughts and to help me sleep!. When I first started the meds my finger tips and feet would tingle but it went away in like a month!.

Other then making you sleepy!. It really doesn't have a lot of big side effects!. For me now that I have taken it for a while I tend to forget I take it due to no side effects at all!.

I have been taking risperdal for a year now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It has a side affect that will make you hungry all the time in which will cause you to gain weight!. It's not the best medicine I would ask for them to give you something else!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
