Why Can't I let anything go?!

Question: Why Can't I let anything go!?
I seem to be unable to let even the smallest things go, I can't stop thinking about minor conflicts!. For example, I had a conflict at work today with one of my bosses!. Looking back it wasn't that big of a deal, but at the time it seemed big, mostly because I was tired, and near the end of a 12 hour overtime shift!. But even though I can consciously reason that it wasn't a big deal, I keep replaying it in my head and imagining myself responding differently, and I keep imagining what I will say tomorrow, or what i will do if a similar situation happens again!. I just can't let it go!. I"m angry!. Angry at my boss for making me feel small and insulting my abilities, angry that I didn't respond more forcefully, and angry that it ever happened!. Is this just a 'character flaw' or is this indicative of a larger problem!. I guarantee I wont sleep well tonight, because I will be thinking of this!. Is this just my personality, or some sort of mental illness!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you are normal, and I am saying that because I have done that exact same thing, more times than I can count!. I think, no I know I am normal!. I attribute the fact that I can stand up for myself and know what to say in times of conflict to me "practicing" beforehand!. Thats how I saw it!. When somone would make me mad and I knew that I didnt put my best foot forward in defending myself, I would go home and replay the incident in my mind and think of what brilliant thing I could say the next time!. It helped me to be the "powerhouse mouth" I am today!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm glad you asked this because now I know I'm not the only one that does this!. I think it is somewhere between normal and mental illness!. Since you are aware and recognize that you do this; then I would say it is closer to normal than not!. As long as you don't constantly complain to others and keep it to yourself; it is ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is not necessarily a type of mental illness!. There are several different things it could be, but any of them can be treated!.

It could be a simple question of stress management or could be anything from depression to bipolar disorder to who knows!?

Please talk to a counselor!. He/she can put you on the path to relaxing!.

Hopefully, all you need is a simple stress-management course!.

Take a few of these tests to help provide the counselor or your regular family doctor with some information:
