I was diagnosed with Bipolar-Depression about 6 months ago and have recently applied for Nursing School!. On the app!. it asks if you have Bipolar or Schitzophrenia, I just don't understand how they can ask such a question!. There were not any other medical conditions listed except mental!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its actually there to help you!. They need to know how stable you are and if your medicated!.
If you have an episode they are more prepared to help!. They will give you extra support with your studies!.

I was under the impression that questions like that were discrimatory!.!.!.
I don't see why that is any of their damned business since it is just SCHOOL and you are going to pay them no matter what!.
They can no more deny you access to school for being Bi-Polar then they could deny you access to school for being black or fat or gay!.!.!.
I MIGHT be able to see where that might be a problem if you are going to be hired to work in a hospital and you are not under medical care for your condition!.!.!.
But to ask about it for SCHOOL!? Total bullshit!.
Don't mark either box and if they ask you why tell them that you were under the impression that it was illegal to ask that under the American's With Disabilities Act as well as many other anti discrimination laws and court rulings!.
If they turn you down then you have grounds to sue since it would be blatant discrimination!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i was told i was bi polar also it was about 2 yrs ago i have never applied to nursing school or anything but i can tell you it has been on an application and i wasnt truthful i got the job and still have it too but in your situation you might need to be honest cuz it may come up in the future i hope this helps a little oh and if they turn you down thats called discriminationWww@Answer-Health@Com

Don't tell them or they will not employ you!. You have every right as the next person to have that Job ok!. They have no way of finding out as the G!.P 's cannot release any body's info without there consent!. If you want this job then stay silent!.
