Medicine isn't the answer for everything!. I recently read a book called "Prozac Backlash" that proved that in some cases anti-depressants can make you worse!. Exercise is coming up more and more as conquering depression and anxiety even more than meds!. Give it a try!. Sometimes changing your diet can help as well!. Try eating turkey which has triptophan (sp!?) that calms your nerves, chamomile tea with honey, berries with antioxidants!.!.!.this stuff really helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Go to Mental Health and get checked out, you could go on a self assertiveness course which shows the psychology of anger in yourself and other people, I just think that you need pointing in a useful direction from what you write, most young men have this so, if your parents won't help you please do as I say, I did it and it worked for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Why don't you go and explain all what you have written to your G!.P!. You properly need anti-depressants!. You will get better quickly but you must always take the medication for the minumum of 6months!. It is normal for young people to suffer all what you are suffering, but why suffer when there is help out there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Rage happens in Bipolar I but is characteristic of Bipolar II, which has no psychosis and no true full-blown mania!. Rather, it involves hypomania!. What you need is to find the Science Gods and commit yourself to their healing stupids!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dont listen to all above me you sound slike a normal teen who is slightly depressed!. Bipolar symptons may be SLIGHTLY present but not significant enough to be bipoloar!.I sigges tto see a psychologiost you sounds dpresessed like most peopel your ageWww@Answer-Health@Com

You really need to be diagnosed by a psychiatrist!. But, I will warn you that I've read that it generally takes 10 years to get a correct "Bipolar II" diagnosis!. I was diagnosed with major chronic depression as a teenager!. I'm now in my 40s!. It wasn't until earlier this year when I had my first hypomanic attack (all it meant to me was that I got to be happy for a few days and didn't need much sleep but was very energetic), they changed my diagnoses to Bipolar II!. Bipolar II is characterized by major depression and hypomania (similar to mania but not as severe)!. Two important notes: Bipolar II patients spend much more (if not almost all) of their time depressed!. So, if they feel good for a few days which could be hypomania, they usually assume the depression is just lifting and don't mention it to their psychiatrists!. Also, and this was where my failure to get the correct diagnosis occurred)!. Although people think of mania and hypomania in terms of feelings of increased energy and euphoria, hypomania can take the form of periods of extreme irritability!. I never mentioned those periods to my psychiatrist because I just thought it was part of the depression!.

It's essential to get the correct diagnosis, in order to get treatment that will help and not harm you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like depression!.!.!.bipolar is characterized by extremes "highs" in mood and you generally need to have three of these in order for diagnosis!. I know someone with bipolar who describes their "highs" as having drank a bottle of wine!.!.this feeling stays with her for days!.!.even weeks!. Bipolar is very fashionable at the minute highlighted by various celebrities in the media, but many misunderstand it!.
Depression is characterized generally by what you have described!.!.!.lack of motivation, feelings of worthlessness, using substances etc to cope, and withdrawing from people, disturbed sleep and appetite and change in mood!.!.!.to name but a few!. I suggest you see your DR immediately and/or seek out some counselling!. Cognitive behaviour therapy is excellent in helping you understand your thoughts and behaviors and will explore your reaction to the incident you mentioned!. Good luck!.!.you seriously need to speak to someone!. I work in the mental health sector and see this kind of thing all the time!.!.!.you will recover!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you are depressed!. Only a doctor will be able to evaluate your situation!. Go to a general practioner!. Be as honest as possible about your feelings and thoughts!. He may try an anti-depressant or a mood stabilizer!. Get some help and educate yourself!. You have made the first step in recognizing you want to change!. You are in charge of your life!. Make a list of how you want your life to be now and 5 years from now!. What changes must be made for you to be successful with your dreams!? Do it; a little every day!. God Bless and Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't sound like you're bi-polar!.!.!.!.just depressed!. You need to see a doctor and perhaps get on some meds!. Meds are not always the answer but only a doctor can judge this!. You may be bottling up some feelings and they're affecting you in a negative way and you need to get them out in the open and resolve them!. Your doc will not judge you!.!.!.many people have depression so don't hesitate to tell him EVERYTHING!.!.!.!.because this will help him or her to come up with a plan thats right for you!.!.!.everyone is different so not all treatments are for everyone!.!.!.good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ACADEMICS: It is vital that you get 8 - 9 hrs of sleep every night, or you won't perform well!. See study tips, and memory improvement, at http://www!.ezy-build!.net!.nz/~shaneris in sections 13, and 41, and start study/homework groups with friends: academics is only one pathway to success, and many people are just not suited to it, so don't stress too much about it!. Richard Branson left school at 16, (for April fool's day, he once had a large helium balloon made in the shape of a flying saucer, which got blown offline, and landed in a London park: when a silver suited figure emerged, the attending police officer ran away!) and Winston Churchill was not a well-performed student!. Your future may well be in another field, such as: graphic artist, real estate, cinematography, Feng Shui consultant, landscaping, fashion design, aromatherapist, music industry, photographer, personal trainer/aerobics instructor, etc!. School is about teaching some basics, and keeping students occupied, so adults can work, that's all! Try many things (except drugs, binge drinking, and the more dangerous ones) and develop those areas in which you perform well, or have a natural aptitude!. Consider having vocational guidance tests, and career counselling, to give you some ideas on what may suit you best!. Ultimately, it is much more important that you be a good person, who helps others when reasonable to do so, and makes a fair contribution to the society which supports him/her, than scholastic achievements!. Depression: I now suggest: (1!.) Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily, (certified free of mercury) with an antioxidant, such as an orange, or grapefruit, or their freshly squeezed juice!. If vitamin E is used, it should be certified as being 100% from natural sources, or it's synthetic, avoid it!. (2!.) Work up slowly to 30 - 60 minutes of exercise, daily!. (3!.) Occupational therapy (keeping busy allows little time for unproductive introspection, and keeps mental activity out of less desirable areas of the brain)!. (4!.) Use daily, one of the relaxation methods in sections 2, 2!.c, 2!.i, or 11, and/or yoga, Tai Chi, and/or the EFT, in sections 2!.q, 2!.o, and section 53, at ezy-build (and bipolar disorder, in section 10, where there is a quiz) whichever works best for you!. (5!.) Initially, at least, some form of counselling, preferably either Cognitive Behavio(u)ral Therapy, or Rational Emotive Behavio(u)ral Therapy!. (6!.) As options, if desired, either a known, effective herbal remedy, such as St!. John's wort, or a supplement, such as SAMe, taken with a vitamin B complex which is certified as being 100% of natural origin, or Inositol (from vitamin and health food stores, some supermarkets, or mail order: view section 55)!.
Read: "Lift your mood now!." by John D Preston, Psy!.D!. 2001, New Harbinger Publications, Inc!., 5674 Shattuck Avenue, Oakland!. CA 94609 http://www!.amazon!.com/ may be worth trying for this!. I have read many books on depression, but if there is a better, more easily read, and quickly implementable one, I have yet to encounter it!. If the amount of daylight you have been exposed to recently has reduced, perhaps due to the change of seasons, see Seasonal Affective Disorder (S!.A!.D!.) in section 2, at http://www!.ezy-build!.net!.nz/~shaneris and, instead of taking around 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily; replace 2 of them with cod liver oil supplements for the winter months only! (or, as probably a better alternative to the 2 cod liver oil supplements: 1 teaspoonful of cod liver oil, with a little butter, to ensure its use; I take mine on sourdough rye bread, or toast, covered with fishpaste, and pepper, to mask the strong taste)!. Optimal levels are 50 - 55 ng/ml (115 - 125 nmol / L)!. It should be above 32 ng/ml!. ANGER MANAGEMENT: If you can't deal with it by using one of the techniques, such as counting backwards from 20, to 1, (and prevent yourself from making yourself angry, in the first place) is important to express that anger appropriately, at the time, and to the person who caused it, if possible, or immediately afterwards!. If not, maybe by walking away later, and bellowing your rage!. In some situations, such as work, or school, it might be better to cover your mouth with a cupped hand, bandanna/handkerchief, or use the crook of your elbow, to muffle the sound!. Some people find that it helps to journal those thoughts, and emotions soon afterwards!.

Anger, which is repressed, rather than healthily expressed, tends to fester, and later may cause explosive fits of rage, or depression!. It helps to have someone you can talk to!. For more physically inclined people, a punching bag, or hitting your pillow, can be an effective release mechanism: visualise, as vividly as you can, that you are striking back at the cause of that anger!. "But next time, when you get mad, just remember this quote: 'Those who anger you, conquer you!.' It's basically saying that when you give someone the power to make you mad, or let it get to you, it's like they're controlling you!. When I realized that, it made me mad, so I try to control my anger and not let people see it!. You can still control your anger without being walked all over!. You just have to draw a line!." Anger management is addressed in much more detail than can be included here, in section 4, at http://www!.ezy-build!.net!.nz/~shaneris!.!.!. including multiple weblinks!.

The following is worth trying, to see if you find it effective!. (It is a variant of EMDR therapy, which has been used successfully for those people suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, insomnia, and anxiety: it is easily learned, quick to use, yet can be very effective!. It is easy to be dismissive of strange seeming methods, but I have tried it, and now use it daily, so see if is effective in your case, as well, because the 2 - 3 minutes it requires markedly reduces distractions during the relaxation techniques, (in sections 2, 11, 2!.c & 2!.i at ezy-build) making it well worthwhile!. Prior to using either of the methods in the above paragraph, first sit comfortably, and take a deep breath!. Then, without moving your head, move your eyes from the left, to the right, and back again, taking around a second to do so (say: a thousand and one: this takes approximately a second)!. Repeat this procedure (without the words, although you can count, subvocally if you like) 20 times!.

Then close your eyes and relax!. Become aware of any tension or discomfort you feel!. Then open your eyes, and take another deep breath, and repeat step one, closing your eyes, and relaxing afterwards, in the same manner!. Then, repeat the procedure one last time!. Some people may find that this is all they need do!. With experience, you may find that you can practise this in public, with your eyes closed, which greatly widens the window of opportunity for its use, and avoids attracting unwanted attention!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
