i read a report that black people who immigrated to Sweden had higher instances of having schizophrenia!. the reason behind it was that they were exposed to more stress due to being an immigrant of colour!.

The diathesis - stress model says that a genetic predisposition to mental illness PLUS environmental stressors increase a person's chances of triggering a mental illness (such as schizophrenia)!. Racism is a stressor that could aggravate anxiety and could possibly trigger symptoms of schizophrenia, but an individual needs to have the biological predisposition as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
