Is this part of OCD?? or depression??!


Question: Is this part of OCD!?!? or depression!?!?
I've been so used to not going out anywhere!. When I do go out!.!.!.I get really scared!. I've heard of people so scared to go out they are almost paralyzed mentally!. i've grown to become scared of everything and when i go out!.!.!.i get so scared!. i think of bad thoughts and it ruins my time!. is this part of my ocd and depression!? will it ever go away!? it's been like this a year!. i guess im so used to staying home and not doing anything but working!. which i don't even do that anymore!. when i go out!.!.!.im not comfortable and i hate it so much!. how can i become more comfortable!? like weeks up to it im like should i go!? that day i get all worked up!. then when im there im fine and on the way home im still a little scared but not really!. i hate this feeling!.!.!.does anyone know what i'm going through!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. That sounds like mild agoraphobia, a side effect of mild post traumatic stress!. You must have gone through something traumatic, and don't want to leave your comfort zone!. You don't like to be in situations where you are not in control!. You will have to go through counseling where they will treat you by slowly giving you coping mechanisms for stress outdoors!. They will desensitize you to outside environments in order to reduce or completely remove your fear!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know what you mean, I am a planner so I know I'm going to do something days ahead so I can prepare myself mentally!.
I've had this same thing for a long time!. I don't go out at night alone!. I think it could be ocd or depression!. I always think its from watching the news!. I thought I was alone or just a worrier!.

this sounds like a case of agoraphobia, a fear of open spaces!. You can do one of two things, you can see a doctor and they will help you out!. or, you can slowly work your way through, start with staying on your front porch, then your yard, then your street, etc!. slowly branch your way outWww@Answer-Health@Com

i would say OCD a bit!. Being afraid of going out is not natural but ive been there!. If it gets to the point of impairing you for jobs of a life i would talk to a doctors!. Not being comfortable though sounds like maybe anti-social behavior but again i would talk to a doctor!. and yes i have been there, best of luck! it can get better!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to find a good Mental Health Professional!. You need counseling!. I know about anxiety and it is scary!. Don't be ashamed to talk to someone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You definitely don't have depression!. I'm not sure about OCD either!. I think you just have an anxiety disorder or agrophobia which is a phobia (ie a fear of leaving one's house!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It does not sound like OCD, but it does show some signs of both OCD and depression!. Another possibility is that you have a phobia!. http://phobialist!.com/ can supply you with a list of things that may be of some relevance; "Agoraphobia- Fear of open spaces or of being in crowded, public places like markets!. Fear of leaving a safe place!." sounds like it may be one of the most likely!. But I think you should go to see a therapist, because a proffesional opinion will be more accurate, and can help you overcome it!.

But I think you got a bit of depression which is that you feels scared if you go out!.!.!.that part of your story!.!.!.I think you are a bit depressed about how uncomfortable you are!. Maybe you are depressed because you are so used to it at home!.!.!.so maybe you should at least train yourself to go somewhere for example to the park or even the playground just for relaxing!.!.!.then you could go out to further places such as a shopping centre!.!.!. Ok so you have OCD and Depression, what you are experiencing is more OCD not depression symptoms, however I think you may also be experiencing some signs of Anxiety disorder (panic attacks)!. I have this and a lot of times I feel exactly the way you do, you may want to talk to your doctor and get on some medicine, this will make you feel a little more comfortable but it doesnt work miracles along with medication you need to work with yourself and talk yourself through these uncomfortable situations!. i think it may be mostly depression, which i can relate to!.!.!. maybe ur uncomfortable with who u are with when you are out!? i mean as well!?
and it depends on what kind of stuff u do
dont do anything that gives u anxiety but if u are finding that it is almost anything then u need a little help
just relax when u are out (easier said than done) dont expect anything and make sure u are with a good crowd
maybe dont go out after dark as well, sounds lame but thats the time when most people get scared as well
