I saw a guy today get a thumbs down for saying nothing more than for the asker to consult a professional and not expect to get reliable advice from Yahoo! Answers!.

most of us who give that kind of advise have had experience with the type of mental problems being asked about!. In my case i am a teacher in a school that has many kids with the problems i have commented on!. Just because i am not a doc does not mean i don't know what i am talking about!. Stop judging and being so mean if they don't want to take the advice they don't have to!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have no medical training!. I know what I've experienced having my illness, what my doctor and therapist have taught me, what a psychNP friend has taught me about it, and the research I've done using medical research (not random Internet stuff)!. I'm comfortable commenting on that but almost always say to consult a doc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

not psychiatric but psychological or give a word that comes from my Christian belief in God,, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and at times post things that people are looking for an answer to--sometimes this is about relationships or other things that I can help with!.
I am actually attempting to get my master's degree in Guidance and Counseling I am two classes--I was about to graduate this May but the instructor is not a fair one so I dropped the course!. I hope I am doing what is right and if some individuals do not like what I say because of what I believe that is their choice but I have never or hope I have never harmed anyone or misguided them!. I am a Christian but this only means that I am not perfect; I am still a man in need of a Savior- I hope you understand what I mean!. I am here only to help and I believe I am learning much from helping people with their concerns for there is so much pain and suffering here that I would never be exposed to in my training!.

I'm not a doctor, but I did get my masters in nursing, and a bachelors in psychology!. If you want help, it is always best to consult with a trained professional!.
If you want opinions from those who may have gone through the same problems, or know someone who has, then this is a good site!. some people have no medical training but have expirienced of psycalogical illnes themselfs or of a family member or freinds!. I have bipolar and could talk for hours on the subject and help out at the manic depressive fellowship and with a police training sceme concerned with mental heath, althouth i have no qualifications i have read hundreds of books atended seminars and have personal expirience!. But there are people answering who dont know what they are talking about so you are right and wrong!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
