I was a social worker at a nursing home and one of the suggestions that we always gave was to bring their bedspread from home to use on their new bed!. You may have to adapt it if is going on a smaller bed, but the resident's always appreciated it!. Also, many nursing homes have enough room for a residents favorite chair from home whether it be a rocker or recliner!. It all depends on the size of the room, but the bedding is something I would definitely do!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I worked in the Assisted Living Facilities, a lot of the family members would bring in "dolls"!. Dolls that could be cuddled like life sized babies!. That would always give them that certain motherly feeling!. They would take care of the dolls like they were they're own children!. It gives them the memories that they had when they were raising their own family and children!.

I think that was one of the best things that the families did bring in!.
