Fear of public places?!
Question: Fear of public places!?
Everytime I try to go to a store or somewhere out in public I start getting really nervous and almost have a panic attack!. It's all I can do sometimes to go to the grocery store!. I have been on meds in the past with very little help from them!. It's as if I am getting more scared by the minute with this stupid fear!.Those of you who have/had this problem what are/did you do to help yourself!? Thank you for your time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had this problem too, badly, a few times in my life!. The first time, I went to therapy & learned breathing exercises to help me cope!. Last year, it started up again, horribly this time, and it got to the point where I couldn't even think about leaving my house without having a panic attack!.
I went on Lexapro for the long term, and Xanax to help with the immediate feelings of anxiety when I felt an attack coming on!. The Lexapro has helped me considerably!. I can't even tell you how much of a difference its made!. The Xanax I carry around with me, but have not had to take in months!.
I know you said you've tried meds without much success, but maybe you were on the wrong med!? At the very least, try to find a good therapist!. Also, get "The Anxiety and Panic Workbook!." You can find it on Amazon!.com or other online bookstores!. That will help a lot in identifying your triggers & those kinds of things!.

there are meds that help with your anxiety!.you have agorophobia!.I have had it and it sux but i now take meds and its some betterWww@Answer-Health@Com
get drunk before you drive to the store, that way you won't be anxious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
