You are feeling the exact same way I used to feel!. I have called 911 too many times to count because I thought I was having a heart attack and have been given many EKG's!. It was alway a panic attack and they are very scary!. I went online looking for some help and found a web site - Panicaway!.com!. I downloaded this book and it has help me tremendusly with my anxiety!. You basically have to talk yourself out of it and tell yourself it is just a panic attack and it cannot hurt you!. Just keep telling yourself that over and over and the symptoms will subside and you will eventually have less and less of them!. I wish you the best of luck and hope this helps!. Hang in there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

From my experience, it is because anxiety, but this is not the only reason!. Be careful, anxiety may case some problem of your heart!. I think you'd better talk with a nutrition consultant!. I believe you need exercise and supplement!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i had panic attacks from the time that i was 15 until i was 22 and now i am 29!. then i had another on april 1st!. sometimes i worry to that my heart may have been damaged!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm 24 and just started having panic attacks 2 years ago!. I usually get them when I'm driving!. I get dizzy, my eyes start to shut, my heart beats fast, I literally blank out!. I recently got a EKG which came back normal!. Do you speak to a therapist!? I do every week which helps so much! I know longer have them as much!. I try not to think about it, or trick my brain, or concentrate on other things!. When I'm driving in the car and feel a panic attack coming on, I put my face in the a/c vent and turn it up HIGH! I also concentrate on breathing in and out!. It doesn't get so bad I pull over!. Also I use to drink sodas and a lot of fried foods, if you are drinking sodas that could contribute to your heart/chest hurting!.

So speak to a therapist!.
Try to think pleasant thoughts and let the panic attacks happen, try not to think about " when I'm going to have my next one!."

Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

This may not be a mental health issue at all!.

You may have a condition called "Mitral Valve Prolapse"!. This cannot be diagnosed by an EKG!. The disorder has a characteristic"click" sound that can sometimes by heard by stethescope!. Some doctors think if they can't hear that sound, it isn't there!. Maybe that's what happened to you!. Some cases cannot be heard by stethescope at all!.

For a diagnosis to be confirmed, an Echocardiagram is needed!. You may also need to wear a halter monitor for a day or so!.

If anyone in your family has this, I would strongly suspect you have it!. Its something people are born with, but the actual symptoms usually show up in late adolescence and early adulthood!.

This condition can vary from being completely benign (harmless, but at times annoying) to actually being life-threatening!. It's best to see a cardiologist to get this checked out!.

The tricky thing about this disorder is that the symptoms can actually make you panic, so you may have a little of both going on!. Get to the right doctor so you can find out for sure!.
