hi i suffer from panic attacks and latley have been really good they havent botherd me at all!. but then last night i was in bed just falling asleep then my heart started pounding and woke me up, i became scared but then calmed my self down tried to get back to sleep it kept waking me up by thumping hard and fast untill about 4 am!. does anyone know what this is and if i should be worried!? im and 19 yr old girl also take a very low dose of beta blockers! x thanks xWww@Answer-Health@Com

i know how u feel!. i suffer panic attacks real bad!. i actually had one 2day!. i was sure this was it i was dying, it took ages for me 2 get my breath!. i havnt heard much about beta blockers, but im on zoloft for mine!. it helped until i stopped taking it for 4 days, now im messed up again!. it is a scary feeling!. if it is really concerning 2 u go speak 2 yr doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have General Anxiety Disorder, and had panic attacks and crying spells and depression!. So now I take 20 mg!. of Paxil in the morning for the depression, and 500 mg!. of Gabapentin in the evening to help me sleep!. This combination has worked so well for me! I did take some beta blockers one night because my heart wouldn't stop beating really fast for hours and I went to emerg!. and that is what they gave me!. But that was just the once!. I don't get that now with the Paxil and Gabapentin combination!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It appears that you may need a medication adjustment!. That happens sometimes as our bodies grow and change!. Beta blockers shouldn't be causing those symptoms, if anything, it should supress them!. See your prescribing doctor and tell this person what is happening!. He or she will likely either increase the dose or change you to a different med!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
