Empty eyes?!
Question: Empty eyes!?
Someone just answered a question of mine about Natascha Kampusch saying that she had "empty eyes" and it got me thinking about it!.!.!.
i once knew someone at school that when you looked in her eyes there was nothing there, they looked empty, im not sure if it was trauma as she had a tough upbringing or whatever!.
someone also said that before my father died (natural causes) his eyes were empty too!.!.!. (this was not always the case so its not like he had funny looking eyes since birth!)
so, have you ever known someone with "empty eyes"!? and what causes it!? (emotional, spiritual, or chemical!?) (NOT someone that is just born with funny looking eyes!) is it reversible!? or is once its gone is it gone!? is it that people lose their "spirit" (not religiously) or what!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have had people tell me i have "empty eyes"!. The reason though is emotional for me and nothing else!. My wife left me about 2 months ago and it has been hard!. I think "empty eyes" come from a lack of caring or feeling anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, I once met a man (a friend of afriend) who looked like he had no life inside him!.
I suspect it was because he was in love with a married woman who had young children and he could not live his life with her by his side!. The man was grateful for a few snatched moments with the married woman and he was waiting for her and her husband to get divorced - no matter how long he had to wait!
In his case it was emotional - he had no idea he was not living and it was very sad to see!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Totally agree if you take a look at recovering drug addicts (mainly heroin) a lot of them have what you call 'empty eyes'
I am not spiritual either but agree that they have lost their spirit or energy as I would call it!!
It is really sad to see and I am sorry if you had to see your Dad's eyes like that!.!.!. ;o)

I agree too!. One of my friends in high school developed "empty eyes" when he lost his family in a car accident, he was the only survivor!.
He committed suicide less than a year later, his eyes never went back to the same bright excited eyes that we all remembered about him!.
In fact one of my friend's added that to the eulogy, the fact that he lost the "spark" in his eyes when the tragedy happened, and that we would all be on the lookout for that sign in our other friends so that we could prevent them from taking their lives!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well you describe them as having "empty eyes"!. I believe they have a hollow stare!. Their not allowing their eyes to portray their true feelings!. Their glare is more of a barrier, rather than a stance!. Similarly to when people are verbally defencive!.It could be result of anything they have experienced!.But more importantly!. It's their whole facial expression!. Which gives an indication of how they are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I believe that this happens when people give up!. They have no meaning in life and really don't care what happens to them any more!. I think if events in the past have been very traumatic or someone who just can't deal with life any more!. Have lots their fight if you know what I meanWww@Answer-Health@Com
I can imaging that autistics are probably accused of this!. They show no emotion through their eyes or facial expressions most of the time!. They also tend to look through people instead of focusing at someone!. This would give the "empty eyes" impression!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
In Natascha Kampuch's case I would have to say that it was caused by her emotional trauma and I think it's great that she offered to help that poor woman that was kept in the cellar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
my wife can see peoples souls thought there eyes,i know it sounds weired but i have seen it so many times,as far as far as empty eyes ,i would think she would say they are just lost for now,Www@Answer-Health@Com
