Self harm- is hitting better than cutting and burning.?!

Question: Self harm- is hitting better than cutting and burning!.!?

Is there any damage hitting would do!? Ive done it before and its bruised and had almost the same effect!.
Cutting to hard theres a risk of cutting a vein but hitting!.!.!.is there anything!?

Are there any other better methods!? I know ideally not would be bes but untill i get help i need something to keep going!. I'm covered in scars-its ridiculous so hopefully something that wouldnt show im the future!.

Hiya =) I know that scars are a nightmare, you get so self concious and do anything to cover them up!.

Keep the scars moisturised and invest in either bio oil or aloe lotion, available from most pharmacies!. They're brilliant at removing scars and stretch marks!.

I agree with the elastic band thing!. It depends where you hit yourself and how hard!. It's nice to know you're getting help too!. Some people benefit from ripping up paper, drawing on themselves or keeping their mind of it by doing things!.

Good luck xWww@Answer-Health@Com

don't wait for school to end!.!.get help now, tonight!. Hitting is not an option, it is also self harm!. Although some people may state that using a rubber band is a safe alternative, there is more research today that states that is also a form of self injury, however if you need to do that in the meantime, then do that, it is not a long term solution!. Get help now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Firstly, well done for planning on getting help - its a brave step to take!. Onto the question of SH, one common way to relieve those feelings of hurting yourself is by flicking a rubber band that you can put on your wrist!. It will leave no mark and is easier and more discreet than hitting yourself!. This method is suggested as a way of begining the process of recovery from SH on many SH websites!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,Hitting is a form of self harming and would also leave marks, but instead of doing those type of behavoirs try to identify the reasons why you feel the need to self harm!.What you might try to do is put a rubberband on your wrist and snap it when the urge to harm comes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hitting urself is not a good idea either!.!.why would u wanna do that!.!.i do understand however where u r coming from!.!.i used to self harm as well!.!.!.but u need to find a positive way to deal with this!.!.like when u get upset and angry go take a walk and listen to some music!.!.stuff like that!!

Talking to people would be a better solution, just don't do itWww@Answer-Health@Com

Neither is better!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't wait for help!. Go get it now!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hitting is dangerous too!. You need to talk to someone today, please please please speak to your doctor or an adult you can trust!. I have never self harmed like you so I cant understand the motivation behind it, but I hear on tv that it kind of takes the pressure off people like a release, you need to find other coping mechanisms if that is the case!. But you absolutely 100% need to talk to a doctor about this, they should be able to refer you to a counsellor or a thereapist or someone that knows about this stuff!. I wish I could say something more inspiring, but I cant think of anything, just please seek help as soon as humanely possible!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
