Answers:
sounds like old-age forgetfulness or hardening of the arteries to me!. it happens, and it's sad and frustrating for you, but it's agonizing for her, especially if she KNOWS she's being forgetful!. One thing, honey!.!.!.!.!.!.you too will be old someday, so I advise you to practice the kind of patience and compassion w/ grandma that you'd want someone to have for you!. Also,, if you're her chief caregiver you need rest periods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be her age creeping up on her, try to find a local group to help you understand the things that happen to people as they age!.
and try to be more sympathetic to her as you will agree it's not easy for her either,
i know what it is like,, with my nan i used to get very frustrated with her and then i would be angry with myself for being a bit short with her sometimes, i know it can be hard sometimes but just keep on being her grandaughter and love her lots for when they go you don't get anymore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could take her to a different doctor and get a 2 opinion!. It also could be some kinds of vitamin deficiency, but I am not a doctor!. but It really does sound like Alzheimer's!. Like I said take her to a different doctor that maybe specializes in it!. Good luck , My uncle has Alzheimer's and he has his good and bad days, and it is frustrating to him and to us!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depression and mini-strokes and high stress can all cause similar symptoms to what you describe!. Was the Dr who tested her a Psychiatrist!? There are many forms of Dementia, and varying stages of the disorders!.

I would suggest a "second opinion"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe it's just general "old age" stuff, honey! As we age, sometimes, we use so much space up in our brains, there is not much left for unimportant things! I wouldn't worry too much!. Just let Grandma be old and she'll just let you be young! Enjoy each other! Time has a way of going by quickly! kjlWww@Answer-Health@Com
