Getting out of public speaking?!

Question: Getting out of public speaking!?
I need to do a public speech right off the top of my head - which is something I simply can not do!. Reading off a page is hard enough, but without being able to prepare is impossible!.

I was think I would tell the teacher I just can't do it, but if I'm forced what should I do!?

Don't tell me it's good to face my fears, because I do more often then not!. If I had my way I would never even bother to speak!. It's just doing it straight off the top of my head that's too difficult!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you can choose your own topic; speak on something you are familiar with and that you feel comfortable talking about!. if not then make you an outline of the topic; come up with brief comments that you are sure about and a brief summary about your topic!.do not look directly at your audience when speaking;;find an object to focus on beyond the crowd!.try not to invite someone that will make you nervous if possible!.
tape your speech when you practice and play it back for yourself; then get someone; a friend or family to hear your speech and listen to their feedback on your speech; ask them to be honest with you and to give you suggestions to improve!.it!. if you like the outcome; then you can do it!. your confidence will be regained, right now you are lacking self confidence!. have faith in yourself!.!.!.you can do it!. surely there is someone believing in you, for what it is worth; even though i do not know you; i believe you can do it!. stop worrying what others may say or what they think of you;;just do your best and be the best that you can be in everything you do!. no one fails but a trier; a quitter can never fail; because they did not try!. they are the ones that should worry!.as well as those that think they are so perfect that they can put others down on their attempts; they too have failures and fears; they are just good at hiding them!. Good Luck!. YOU CAN DO IT: SO JUST DO IT AT YOUR BEST!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This question caught my attention because I was assigned a public speaking assignment today and freaked out!. It seems like it is the same style, though I have a powerpoint presentation of images to guide me!.

My point --> so so so many people have this fear, its not just you!. As you many know if you have done public speaking before, once you start you are usually ok !.!. it is just mustering up the courage to not be nervous!.
If i were you, I would go talk to the teacher and tell them you situation, perhaps that you have tried this in the past and just completely froze! Ask them if you can take ONE index card with you, on which you can write bullet points that you want to remember!.
Also, I have found that practicing aloud by yourself is ENORMOUSLY helpful!. Yes, you feel stupid talking to no one for the first minute but it really helps you see what parts you are struggling to remember and where you need to shorten/lengthen your speech!.
Good luck and when you get up there, take comfort in knowing that there are millions of people in schools and colleges everywhere doing the same thing and feeling just as nervous!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can pull the ol "imagine them in their underwear" thing!. public speaking isn't that big of a deal!. alot of people do it!. im not comfortable with public speaking but i do it to get it over with!. you can't be absent when its your turn or the teacher will still make you do it when you come back or you'll get a bad grade!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Will they know if you don't do it off the top of your head!? Im assuming that the speech is not taking place today, so maybe you have some time to prepare!? Read up on your topic and accumulate as much info as you can!.

Maybe write down some subtle notes on your hand or something!.
Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if your forced to, just do what you can and when you start to stumble, just say "ok thats it, im done!." and walk off the stage!.
what are they gonna do!? tell you to get back up there!? if the teacher tells you to, tell her to grade what you did, and that your done talkin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
