I want to self harm?!

Hey there- I've been in a similar situation except I actually did harm myself and I know that once you get that idea in your head that harming yourself would release some of the pain, it is hard to rid your mind of those thoughts but please don't do it!!!! For those few minutes when you feel the satisaction of cutting yourself you spend every other moment trying to cover it up, especially is you cut your arms!.

Listen, I know you wouldn't be on here asking if you had a professional to go to!. I am sorry for your current situation!. Think of some happy memories and of people you may have lost touch with that you know once cared about you!. We're only human, your friends may have thought you weren't interested (maybe not, I don't know them or you, just a guess) in hanging out with them when really you were just becoming more depressed and detatched from the things and people you once loved!. Think of what they would think if they knew what they were doing to yourself if you were self harming!.

You may think people will feel sorry for you or be drawn to help you or try to understand you if they find out but speaking from personal experience, it is not the case!. I hid it for a long time until one time when I let my guard down and my sleeve rode up and a few people I considered to be my friends saw my arms and they all ended up distancing themselves from me- which made me feel worse about myself and then the downward spiral goes deeper!.

I shouldn't say this but if you absolutely have to, instead of burning or cutting try banging your wrist against a wall!. It sounds stupid but it really hurts and it releases anger and all you can really get is a bruise!. Or, try snapping a rubber band around your wrist!.

You aren't crazy!. Just keep on keepin on and you'll think about this time in your life 10 years from now and you'll see the emotional strength you gained by pushing through it!.

I think of this Little Miss Sunshine quote:
he gets down to the end of his life, and he looks back and decides that all those years he suffered, Those were the best years of his life, 'cause they made him who he was!. All those years he was happy!? You know, total waste!. Didn't learn a thing!. So, if you sleep until you're 18!.!.!. Ah, think of the suffering you're gonna miss!. I mean high school!? High school-those are your prime suffering years!. You don't get better suffering than that!.

At 15 years old you shouldnt have to deal with all this on your own!. Go to the doctors or ask the school for help and see if you can get yourself help and maybe a referall to a councillor!. hurting yourself isnt going to make you feel any better it will just push you further into depression!. its a big step but ask for help, someone will listen xWww@Answer-Health@Com

you need to talk to someone about trying to get respite from your mum and also how your feeling there is help out there but you have to shout loud to access it see your GP ALSO FIND OUT WHERE YOUR NEAREST CARER CENTRE IS FAST you are not crazy just under immense pressure when you should be enjoying your teenage years please seek help you are now at breaking point i hope it works out for you as i know how hard it is i am a carer and i feel pressured difference is i am an adult good luck and take careWww@Answer-Health@Com

No, its hormones!. Just find fun things to do to distract you, but if this keeps occuring and you cant sleep ( i started waking up in the bathroom trying to break my razors open) and other symptoms tell your doctor and get some depression medicineWww@Answer-Health@Com

You're not crazy, you're overwhelmed!. You need to get some support, both practically and emotionally!. Take some deep breaths, stop looking at the big picture and focus on one problem at a time!. Cutting yourself won't solve your problems, it will just start up a whole lot of new ones!. First thing tomorrow, tell someone how bad you are feeling!. No, far from crazy!. If you were crazy you would be harming yourself!. Scared to do it - indicates sanity!. You need to talk to a counselor or your parents about your pain and depression!. Do not take it out on yourself through self harm!. THAT is crazy!. Everyone has emotional pain!. Talk to some one and get help with that!. Good luck!. i used to self harm and im not crazy so no you are not try and write down what your feeling on paper and burn it but do talk to people it will get easier i promise just take one day at a time you are not on your own good luck
