1) Aspergers is not mental retardation!. They can be highly intelligent and just not able to handle social situations appropriately!.
2) Communication problems interfere with learning!. Now, you have an intelligent person, unable to grasp information in a classroom setting, b/c they have problems with communication!.
3) They are trainable!. You can teach them patterns to repeat and they will learn with consistency and eventually apply them on their own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

with lots of therapy and starting early in childhood is important!. involving these kids in social situations will help them learn to behave in the right way because they see the way that other kids their age behave and mimic it!.
