how is it possible people out there believe that the mother of the abused daughter didn't know anything - they all lived in the same house, didn't she ever go down there in 24 years!? plus, the father didn't build his dungeon alone!. they all participated in the gruesome crime and they're not going to pay for it; except for the father of course!. please share thoughts!. thanxWww@Answer-Health@Com

People seem to forget that it was the husband who committed the disgusting crimes not her!. Remember HE is the monster not her!.
I imagine the mother was not living a fairy tale existence either!. She was probably living a terrifying, fearful life at the hands of this monster as well as his offspring!. No doubt she was being mentally, physically and emotionally abused too, and after 24 years that would wear anyone down and make anyone feel hopeless!. A sick, evil man like that is capable of anything and it can't have been easy for her to live with him!. I'd say she did know, and he probably threatened her viciously if she ever said anything about it, hence the denial!. She was probably trying her best to cope with living in a horrible situation with a horrible man and shutting out the reality knowing she could never do anything to change it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well kelly its posssible the mother never went down there,but the mother steal had to know something was up unless she's menally-ill herself, if thats the causes she wont nessarily know!. for people with depression or bi-polar, she wont know, what the husband was doing she won't be able too function while enought too know!.But the mans very sick,He needs a lot of help,What he did was very wrong now his daughter will need help the rest of her life ,so will there children,if there not retarded there really need a lot of help from Mental health doctors and psychologist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh my gosh! I can't even believe that whole story - and how come no one noticed these kids being born - where did they come from!? The mom had to know, but if he was that crazy, can you imagine how he must have treated her!? Maybe she was just trying to survive too - maybe he didn't abuse her when he abused the daughter!.!.!.!. Not that that makes it ok, but at least it might explain it a little!.!.!.

I think the whole thing is very sad, I am sure they will investigate, and the dad said the daughter ran away, I would not be satisfied until I found my daughter, I think the whole family will need loads of mental help!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
