How can I feel better? I feel very depressed...?!


Question: How can I feel better!? I feel very depressed!.!.!.!?
!.!.!.just wondering what I can do to make me feel better!. Not on any medication for depression but I'm very tearful at the moment!. I feel like I'm grieving almost and can't rationalise my fears!. Its like I'm in a bubble and feel upset!.

I don't want wine or chocolate as they can put weight on which will get me even more depressed!. I don't want to call my hubby at work and my 2 years old doesn't understand!.

Anything I can do or eat to lift my spirits!. Have just had a handful of sugary sweets to momentarily lift my sugar levels but not sure what I can do long term!. Don't want to use anti depressants!.

You should go to the gym!.!.!.it will help you release some pent up stress and you can only feel better for it afterwards!!! Take up something like kick-boxing so anything thats stressing you - you can just go and punch away your stress!!!

You really should give anti-depressants a chance!.

I started taking Escitalopram, and in about 2 weeks I felt completely different - as if the lights had come back on!.

In any case, even if you don't want drugs, you should go to your GP for advice!.

They'll give you what's called a HADS test (to determine just how depressed you are - takes 5 minutes to fill in!.

You could then perhaps get a referral to a psychologist!.

If you have the money, you could try a private psychotherapist!. But they are pricey - tend to be
