Whats the difft between manic and psychosis?? explain??!

Question: Whats the difft between manic and psychosis!?!? explain!?!?
Answers:
Mania is a condition characterized by being extremely "high"!. It can be described as being "on top of the world"!. Typically, mania is diagnosed after a week of persistently elevated or irritable mood, in which a person demonstrates inflated self-esteem, grandiosity, a lack of need for sleep, flight of ideas, and increases in goal directed activity!. This must be to a degree that it interferes with the individual's normal life!. It may be accompanied by psychotic symptoms (psychosis)!.

Psychosis is a condition characterized by persistent hallucinations and/or delusions!. Hallucinations can affect all of the senses, not just vision!. Delusions may have positive or negative connotations!. This can accompany both mania and depression, as well as a number of other disorders!. However, most frequently it is associated with schizophrenia!. That said, an experience of psychosis is not sufficient to diagnose schizophrenia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Psychosis generally is a defining feature of mania!. Mania w/o psychosis would be *extreme* activation, needing next to no sleep, disorganized thinking, hyper racing thoughts, what most would identify as over the edge and into crazy!. Hypomania is everything right up to psychosis and the most extremes of irrationality and activation!. Once there is psychosis, hypomania is upgraded to mania even if all the super crazy energy isn't there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
