Drugs really changed me?!

Question: Drugs really changed me!?
Please help me, I'm only fourteen but fifteen in three days!. In about September I started drinking a lot more than I did and taking drugs!. I smoked weed often and did e whenever I got the chance!. I'd drink rougly two thirds of a bottle of vodka a day, and this would be in school as well as out of!. After a while, teachers started noticing and my friends didn't like it!. One friend got worried and told a teacher about me drinking who phoned home and the social services were involved!. I thought I'd totally stop, but I haven't!. I don't really drink anymore but I smoke cigarettes and still smoke weed!. About two months ago I tried LSD and kept having it even though I had horrible trips!. I haven't taken it for a while now because the person getting it me has stopped and it was really messing me up!. I can't eat much anymore, I'm pushing everyone I love away from me but I've been off the drugs for a while!. I know I'm depressed and I never go out with people anymore, I don't get much sleep andWww@Answer-Health@Com

I hate to break it too you, but I don't think you are ready for help!. I think you really need it (and I hope you get some), but I don't think you are at the point where it would benefit you!.

Anyone who has struggled with drugs, alcohol, and addiction can tell you that there is a single moment that causes the light to go on and make you say that I have a problem!. That moment could be a child asking you to stop, landing in jail, waking up and not knowing where you are, or a doctor telling you that you will die if you don't stop!. Once that moment occurs, you are willing to move mountains to make yourself better!. That moment doesn't happen for everyone!. Some people will go through the motions of rehab, but without that epiphany, they never truly get better (IMHO)!.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but here is your reality!.!.!. You say you don't want to talk to anyone because that "I'm stubborn and determined not to show I'm weak or vulnerable"!. Not asking for help doesn't make you strong, it makes you an idiot!. There are people out there who care about you!. There are resources available that can help you get better!. They are all there for the asking!.

I am not a doctor, but my guess is that your drug use has caused a chemical imbalance in your system!. Chances are it is something that will go away with time, but it can be a very painful road to recovery!. Some people do not make it and commit suicide!.

If I were you, I'd swallow your pride and get some help!. Talk to your parents!. If you don't feel comfortable with that, talk to your school councilor (but know it will probably get back to your parents)!.

If you are not ready for your parents to be involved yet, call a hotline for guidance!. If you are not aware of a local hotline, call a local hospital and ask them!. You can also call a national hotline!. Here is a website that has a hotline for almost anything you can think of: http://www!.coolnurse!.com/hotline!.htm

You say you have a 2 year old sister that keeps you going!. If you are not willing to find help for yourself, find help so you can help her!.

You are not the first person to be in this situation!. Chances are, anyone you talk to has heard and dealt with cases much more severe than you made yours sound!. Given your current attitude about asking for help, I'd recommend you call one of the 800 numbers!. Talk to someone!. Tell them your problem!. They won't know who you are and it won't get back to your parents!. I'd bet it will be a life changing experience and a turning point for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need all the help that a rehab center can give!.You must talk to someone about this!.If a parent or a relative or friend!.Most cities have a help-line or hot-line that you can call!.They will listen and can direct you on where to go for help if you have no money!.

You are young and can overcome this!.The rest of your life is in front of you!.You will have to take the first step yourself by reaching out for help!.You cannot do this alone hiding in your depression!.Do it now!.Don't wait!.Don't think about it,just go and take the first step!.Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life!.Make it a good one!.You can make it better!.Go now,get the help you need!.I have been where you are now!.It isn't easy, but it can be done!.Use your stubbornness to kick this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
