I know exactly how you feel!. I was diagnosed with depression when I was 14, and 4 years later I'm still dealing with it!. It can be very difficult being a teenager and depressed, because you feel very alone in your depression!. There are lots of resources out there to help you!. You should talk to your parents, or someone you trust if you don't feel comfortable with your parents!. A doctor can help you out a lot, and help you find a counselor!. You should definitely see a counselor, they are a life saver! Medications can also be very helpful for people (me for example) but not necessarily for everyone!.
Most importantly, be good to yourself!. The best thing you can do yourself to fight your depression is to make sure you are meeting all of your personal needs!. eat well, exercise, get lots of sleep, and engage in activities that you really enjoy as much as you can! I love horseback riding, so when i am feeling down I always make time to go riding! Something that I have found to be very helpful is keeping a journal!. I know it can get boring if you don't like to write, but it really helps to get your emotions out there!. If you are more of a visual person, try drawing what you feel!

I'm really glad that you are reaching out now, before it becomes too late!. Some people wait until they are deeply depressed before they ask for help!. You are a very strong girl and I really hope that things get better for you soon!!

Edit: I noticed that some of the answers people here are posting are rediculous! I am so sorry that some people are so intolerant of your situation! Don't listen to them, there are lots of people like me who understand your pain!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You seem to suffer from depression! Talk to your family physician!.

The first step to getting appropriate treatment, for depression or any other emotional problem, is a complete psychological evaluation to determine whether you have a depressive illness, and if so, what type of depression!. Consultation with a psychologist will include a review of your physical health history!. Some medications as well as some medical conditions can cause symptoms of depression, so your psychologist will ask your family physician to rule out these possibilities if other physical symptoms are evident!.

Lastly, the psychological diagnostic evaluation will include a mental status examination to assess the full range of psychological symptoms and problems!. This will help identify any other psychological problems that might be present, and will help determine the most appropriate treatment for you!.

Treatment choice will depend on the outcome of the evaluation!. Most people do well with psychotherapy, but some require treatment with antidepressants in addition to psychotherapy!. Medication can allow you to to gain relatively quick symptom relief, if you are experiencing severe and disabling symptoms!. However, medication does not "cure" the depression, it only treats the symptoms!. If you are depressed, you need psychotherapy to help you to learn more effective ways to deal with life's problems, and to change the negative thoughts and attitudes that have caused you to develop depression!.

So make your first move!.Dont wait too long before it get worse!.
You are not alone, there is help around the corner, never give up!.
God bless you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you could have minor depression!. Some people are able to deal with and eventually it lifts!. Others need an anti depressant!. If you feel like you can't function, nothing is important, normal things you like have no effect on you, then you can see your doctor or a psychiatrist!. They can confirm a diagnosis of depression!. There are a lot of good antidepressants, you may or may not be on them long!. If you have a family history of mental illness, bipolar, etc!. make sure you let the doctor know!. It can be heredity!. Don't feel too bad about it, 1 out of 10 people have some sort of mental illness from anxiety to severe depression, etc!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Being tired can make you feel worthless, because your body needs rest to stay happy!. Make sure you are getting enough sleep, eating right, and drinking enough water!. If you're under a lot of stress right now, that can lead to depressed feelings, so you might also want to think about ways to relieve stress, such as exercise or just doing something nice for yourself!. If you don't feel better in two weeks, or this is affecting your ability to function, see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh god, I'm sorry people are giving you dumb heartless answers!. It's just rude an ridiculous!.

I know what your going through, I'm 14!.!.so I'm just around your age and I feel exactly like you!. The only way to help this depression is to think about all the good things in life!. Think about your family, your life, your friends!. Try to keep your mind away from all the negitivity, cause thats the one thing thats bringing you down!. Sadly a lot of people around our age go through with this!.!.and it's just our horomones and just part of growing up!.

But if you feel extreamly tired and worthless then it might be depression!. Depression can be calculated by your feelings, which a therapist or a guidance counselor can help you figure out!. I'm sure once they figure out if it's depression or not you can go from there!. Even if it's not depression it could mean that you just need some time to relax!.!.or that you should talk to a therapist every once and awhile!.

I'm sorry your going through with this!. There was a time a half of a year ago were I felt the same way as you!. I'm begining to regret those things I said about myself!. You realize at a point that these feelings will one day pass, an we'll finally feel comfortable in our bodies!. Our feelings will all be in order!. I'm sure this helps!.!.!.Good luck! I'm rooting for you! <3333!Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is a better life for you out there but first you need to find a way to get through this diffiuclt time!. I recommend that you find a counselor!. Good luck dear!. I think 15 is the hardest age!Www@Answer-Health@Com
