I m 22 but i don't want to procreate because of what's going on in the world!.!.!.i don't want to bring them into this kind of world which may become worse for them!.!.but i've never thought about it based on "genes" so either way yes i'd still opt out from procreationWww@Answer-Health@Com
This is an interesting question!. My reason for worrying about having a child is because I have an X-linked disability gene that only affects males!. It's muscular dystrophy, and I've seen the effects it's had on my father, and my cousin!. I don't want to put a child through that, but at the same time, I don't necessarily want to not have kids!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm going to wait until I'm married!. Then, we're going to a genetic counsellor to see if there's anything major!. Depending on the results we may or may not procreate!.
There are plenty of children waiting to be fostered or adopted from all different countries, so it's no biggie to wait!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I didn't procreate for two reasons-
worried that I would be a parent like my father (molester& alcolholic)

Yes, I do not want to bring one more life into this world!. There are too many uncared for here all ready!. I have fostered 2 all ready and would do it again though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
