No one to talk to about my depression?!


Question: No one to talk to about my depression!?
I'm not even sure if I'm depressed!. What are the symptoms of depression!? What about severe and mild depression!?

Lately I've been feeling really down, I'm often very irritated and feel hatred towards everyone and myself, feel slow, dumb, listless, hopeless, and have been getting into really bad arguments with friends and family that have left me shaken!. I also very much want to die!. I wouldn't commit suicide but whenever I'm in a car, I mentally hope so much to die from a car crash!. I often visualize my death and think about how no one would care because (I know this sounds corny!.!.) no one loves me!. I'm worthless, I'm boring, I'm self-absorbed and unenthusiastic and unattractive!. I honestly have nothing to live for!.

Please don't suggest going to see a therapist, it's 100% not possible, my family would never, ever take me to one no matter how much or how reasonably I ask!. Trust me, I've tried for years (for other reasons)!. And the school counselors and psychologist are of no help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Can I just ask you to do a couple of things before you go with the standard " I am depressed " thing!.

75% of your seritonin (happy thoughts) comes from your colon !.!.!. are you going poop at least once a day!? If your not get your colon figured out with fiber or a good colon cleanse!.

Also check your lower inside of your eyelid and see if it is flesh colored or red!. If it is flesh colored you are iron deficient and you need to be taking some natural herbal iron until you have a good healthy redish pink color!. You will not feel like doing anything if you are iron deficient because iron carrys oxygen in your blood!.

Are you exercising( gives you endorhines)!? Are you volunteering (gives you value) !? Are you doing anything other than sitting around eating junk food (makes you feel sad and worthless)

Try changing those things before you go with the magic pill theory for depression!. You seem like you have your crap together your just bored with things because your not thinking outside the box and thinking of what you want to do in this life!. You have to see ahead instead of just getting the life sucked out of you with what is going on now!.

Teach kids how to read!. Volunteer with a youth group!. When you think outside your self good things will happen!. You have to go thru the motion to get good results though!.

Youre going to make it!.!.I can just tell!. We all get down sometimes!. Your to smart for the things you were typing though!. Get excited about life again and get around good people that can motivate you to do great things!. Im sure you know of some!.

Sound to me like you're depressed - do you go to the doctor for regular checkups!? If so ask the doctor to do a screening test for depression, once he diagnose's you with depression, your family will have no choice but to help you seek treatment!.

You're obviously willing to accept professional help!. That's the 1st step and the most important!. Every state has a mental health 'hot line'!. If you can't find it in the telephone directory or by calling information, just call the nearest hospital as ask them!. Tell them you're depressed and am looking for help & that you are 18 with no income!. They'll direct you the right place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What state do you live in!? Find out where the welfare office is and look into medical assistance!. You said that you do not have a job, and because you are 18 you will not need to have your parents information!.

You need to ask yourself what it is that is missing in your life!. What would make you happy!. Maybe you just need to change your routine!. I know exactly how you feel!. Trust me!. Find something you would love doing and keep yourself occupied!. I know you don't feel like doing anything but you have to push yourself!. hmmm, are you in high school!? i'm in college and i have a similar problem(however, my depression is mostly all about my looks)!. i was always too embarrassed to talk to my parents about seeing a therapist, but it is part of my college health insurance plan so i started seeing one without telling them!.

Life is worth living, always remember that! Depression can be hard, especially if you feel like loved ones don't understand or don't want to help, but you are not alone! You do sound very down and I believe what you are going through is serious!. Is there a church leader or pastor you could talk to!? I can't believe your school counselors are not helping you! I know how you feel, ive been there but there really isnt a magic answer to solve your problems, you just have to be strong and realize tomorrow holds such better days, i dont know if your alone alot but i know when i started meeting new ppl and getting out it started to get better, hope you get through it, much loveWww@Answer-Health@Com

well since u can't go to a therapist, here are some ways to make yourself feel better!.

-go somewhere you always wanted to go
-do something u never ever did
-go to a vacation that u ever wanted to go
-take a day off

I would say yes you have depression and there are two ways to deal with it!. Certain medications can help like prozac!. However prescription would mean you would have to see someone to be diagnosed!. The other option is simply surrounding yourself with posative things!. Go places you enjoy being frequently!. Talk to people you enjoy talking to!. Spend time doing things you like to do!. Another technique is convincing yourself!. It may sound corny but believe it or not it has worked for many people!. Simply put well placed notes to yourself in areas you go to often!. For example "you're going to have a great day" on the inside of your bedroom door, plants the idea in your head everytime you exit your room!. Make it colorful and noticable!. It has to pop and catch your eye everytime!. Another one is simply talking to yourself!. Wether your walking to the mailbox or staring in your bathroom mirror!. Talk to yourself and convince yourself that your a wonderful person!. Like I said, I know it sounds corny but it has worked for many people!. So surround yourself with posative things, convince yourself you are a wonderful person and look into medication if at all possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, let's see! I know exactly where u r coming from!. U have to ask yourself, y do u feel this way!? y do u feel as if no one loves u or cares about u!? At one point, or many points of my life I have felt that way!. I really don't know why I feel that way!. Do u have a family doctor u can see!. I don't see a therapist, I went to my family doctor and told her i am feeling depressed!. She asked me a couple of questions and boom, now i am feeling somewhat better!. Sometimes we can not help the way we feel sometimes we don't have enough serotonin in our brains (this keeps us from being depressed) and we need medications to help even it out!. Some people say love will bring happiness, but that is not always true!. I have love and sometimes I am still not happy!. Write back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Call 911 or a crises hot line (look it up on line) and tell them everything you just wrote and they will help you with being submited to a hospital !. Or just go to an emergency room and tell them that you are suicidal!. I feel the same as you and have been to the hospital twice!. Honestly I didn't find it very helpful but my issues are because of stupid people like family that I am around all the time there for always thinking of the bull they have put me through!. What happens is if your subited from the emergency room you stay there for a few hourse till they get a room for you at a treatment facility then a ambulance takes you to the facility and at the place you get counseling and get prescribed medicine to help cope with the feelings!. Since your family is being stubborn and aren't treating your situation with the seriousness that it is you need to look out wards and help your self!. You already made a step by posting on this so good for you!. If the hospital thing is to crazy for you then look up concealing for your self!. Their are places that are very cheap like $5!. Try looking up a social worker they are the ones that found the $5 place for me when I didn't have insurance!. Dont even try the hospital thing if you dont have insurance or make sure you have mental health coverage because you will get a CRAZY big bill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are depressed and i think you are on the very edge -since you are telling us school not helping-how about religious group-church or whatever your affiliation is-even if you are not you can go to any and ask for counseling and they will guide you for free!. I will also suggest for now-today-right now to go to website called TEENONLINE they are there to hear teens with all kind of depression!. They have chat and phone number you can call i think this will put your foot in the door to better your situation and i think you need to speak to a friend of the family to get yourparents to help you out!. depression is being sad and in a depressed state longer than 2 weeks!. u usually dont want to get up in the morning, want to sleep a lot, cry about absolutely nothing, lacking self confidence, and yes suicidal thoughts!. i have depression and social anxiety and at one point was suicidal!. u need people to talk to, not just counselors but close friends help the most!. maybe see if a friend or someone else can bring u to see a therapist!. what i would do is bring it up to ur doctor, he/she can at least get u some medication, which does help a lot and can also determine how serious it is!. best of luck to you! if u have any questions dont hesitate to ask!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
