No harm contract.?!

Question: No harm contract!.!?
i have recently called and made an appointment with a counselor re: my self harm!. When we had spoke on the phone i agreed to a no harm agreement!. Made it through yesterday w/o cutting but today I cut without thinking of the agreement kind of lost as to how to bring this up with him or if i should just pretend that this one never happened because they are really small shallow cuts like a cat scratched me!. ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Talk to your counselor about harming yourself despite the no harm contract!. When counselors do a contract like that it's partly for you to work towards the goal of not harming yourself, and partly for the counselor to know what you're willing to commit to in terms of not harming yourself!. Most likely, the contract was for too long a period!. Try contracting for a shorter period of time (24 hours or less) and then work up to not harming for a longer period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think it is a good idea to lie to your therapist!. He or she is there to help you, and if you aren't honest, you're not going to get the full care you deserve!. I don't know if this is a new therapist for you or not, but when you see her, let her know that you did cut yesterday and go from there!. If your therapist is any good, you'll be able to work through this even if you did violate the no harm agreement!. Keep in mind that you will not be the first of her patients to break that agreement!. Good luck with your treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to be a cutter, I would call my councelor whenever I wanted to cut!. If you do not feel like that then I would suggest making a habbit of doing something else as soon as the thought pops up in your head to cut!.
You are not perfect so you will not succeed everytime, to start with!. But, things will get better!.

Try to find the source of your cutting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please stop waisting our time and if you want to cut yourself cut yourself properly and that is up your wrist instead of sideways!. Now if you really want help stop coping with problems and deal with them head on by seeing a counselor and learning about your options!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not qualified to be a counselor such as the one you have but changing behaviors takes time!. I would tell him and if he is worth his salt he will understand that!. Don't be afraid, what you're doing is a start, give it time and try to trust the ones helping you!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you meet with your counselor be honest about this "slip"!. It's importnat that you be honest from the start if you're going to help yourself with this!.

Good for you for seeking help!. I hope things work out!Www@Answer-Health@Com
