What can I do? I'm really confused!!!! Someone help please.... :(?!

Question: What can I do!? I'm really confused!!!! Someone help please!.!.!.!. :(!?
I'm a 20 year old college student, and I have my share of problems; I was sexually abused as a child, I was sexually assaulted as a teen and well I'm not exactly doing well emotionally; sometimes even minor situations are too hard for me to handle because I carry so much pain through my life!. Friends are slightly comforting but I am MUCH more comfortable talk to "adults" (like teachers and such), The comfort, empathy and understanding they provide has been my refuge this last little while!. One of my teachers in particular is someone with whom I feel I can really trust, and open up to; but this is my last week in her class!. When I opened up to her about my past once before, she was very welcoming and offered to listen, but I don't know how far I can take that!.!.!. Did I lose out on the chance by being too afraid to talk to her about it again!? If not, how do I tell her that I really trust her, and feel that she's the only one I can open up to!? I just don't know what to do! I'm so confused!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Talk to her about it, if she's one of the only few people you trust, then try your best not to end the relationship, tell her that you really find it helpful to talk your problems over with her, and find out if you can still talk to her once your out of her class, good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sure that your teacher was ok with hearing your problems, but the fact is that she's not a counselor or therapist, and that's really what you need!. At the very least, you should try an online forum like this one:

So sorry to hear that you have suffered traumatic experiences in the past!. The good news, though, is that you are a SURVIVOR!. Focusing on that fact, in and of itself, can make a positive difference!.

Although I'm sure your teacher would love to help, most teachers will not be equipped to provide you with what you need, as far as processing your trauma issues!. That is where therapists come in!.

If you are in college, there is a good chance that there are high quality psychological and counseling services available to you at very low or no cost!. It may well be the one time in your life where such services are actually affordable!.

I strongly encourage you to take advantage of that!.

Healing IS possible!. Addressing these issues head on is your best bet!.

Best of luck to you in your treatment,
