It sounds like you are having difficulties adjusting to your new situation!. Lots of college students go through this, but few have the insight (like you do) to know exactly what's causing it!.

College is a life-changing experience, and people's high school friends DO drift away!. There's a mourning process involved with this, and it sounds insensitive, but you have to make new friends in order to survive in your new environment!. It will happen; give it time!.

Meanwhile, what did you like to do by yourself OR with people!? You'll need both families of interest, trust me!.!.!. Make a list of all the things that give you happiness, or at least have a couple in mind to play with!. That way you can feel less lonely and also be able to connect with people at school who share your interests!.

Also, some people find it helps to choose classes that are partly safe bets and partly things you just want to take a chance on, if that sounds good, because that way you'll meet people with different backgrounds and passions!.

And do you have your new dog with you!? They help soooo much!.!.!. I'm sorry your old dog and family moved!.!.!. :(

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with moving forward with your life!. Consider it like a new chapter of your life!. Beware of getting lured into subcultures, cults, drugs, etc!. Keep things that you value in mind so that you stay away from things that devalue you and waste your time!. This is part of getting to know yourself!. The positive changes you mention should be things that enhance your personal environment, such as the space you live in, studies you could give dedicated time to!. Use this mood to focus on short term and long term goals!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow! So much change in such a short time! It sounds like enough to weigh anyone down, and also to create a lot of stress!. Since you are describing unhappiness, rather than stress, you may have a touch of depression!.

Your college more than likely has a counseling service through the medical clinic!. If you are at a community college, and they don't, most communities have something in place that charges patients based upon income!.

Seeing a counselor can help you sort out your feelings and also help you plan out what types of postive changes you want to make!.

Also, please be kind to yourself!. I think it is significant that you have figured out on your own that the changes have brought you some un happiness!.!.!.that is a big step in correcting things!.

Make sure you have outings with friends, and try to plan on times when your mom and brother can visit you, or you visit them!. Often, just knowing you have something good planned will help bouy you through tough periods!. Get plenty of exercise, even just walking, as that is a great stress-reliever and a way to build more of a bond with your new dog!.

Hang in there, my friend!. One of the things that is constanct in life is change!.!.!.!.how we manage that can make us happy or miserable!.!.!.it is up to us!.!.!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You really need to accept that life is all about changes!. Nothing can stay the same!. And you will also notice (as you get older) that life is not predictable!. You cant let yourself get all swept up in emotions of sorrow or stress when things happen!. It really is a part of life!. As the popular bumper sticker says!.!.!.!.!."Sh*t Happens!" You just gotta learn to go with the punches and keep on living!. 'Happyness' is a state of mind!.!.!.!.!.nothing else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just take it one step at a time!. life can be stressful if you let it!.!. or if your job forces it on you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
