Do I take an anxiety attack when taking off in plane?!

Question: Do I take an anxiety attack when taking off in plane!?
Ever since I remember I have been scared of flying but over the last few years it has been getting worse and worse!. When I get on the plane I have to immediately find my seat and put on my belt and then i would not move until I have to get off the plane!. When the plane starts to move I have to hold the sides of the arm rests!. When the plane is reaching high speeds but is still on the ground I fell as though I can not breathe which makes me worse and then I start to cry!. When the plane has lifted off the ground, not being able to breathe gets worse but when the plane goes back to a straight height I am fine!. Any help guys!? Should I see a doctor or is there anything I could take for it!? Thanks for your time!. xWww@Answer-Health@Com

You're what's called a "white knuckle" flyer!.

LOTS of people are afraid of flying - in your case it sounds like it's a phobia!.

Likely, you fear the loss of control when you consign your fate to a mchine that you're unfamiliar with, driven by people that you've never met!.

See your doctor about this - he can recommend a good behavioural therapist for this that can teach you how to desensitize yourself to this fear and teach you coping skills!.

I wouldn't let the doctor presribe tranquilizers for this - it's a workable solution but it doesn't cure the problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Fear of flying is one of the most common forms of specific phobia!. I don't usually prescribe continued medication for this unless the patient is a frequent flier!. Short-acting benzodiazepines taken prior to flight might ease the symptoms!. If you don't want any drugs there is very effective psychotherapy available that will help you overcome your phobia!. Talk to your psychiatrist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Many experience this!. I am just he opposite!. I LOVE FLYING AND TAKE OFF IS THE BEST! When this is happening close your eyes and start to turn inward!. Tell your toes to relax, then your ankles, then your calves, then your knees!.!.!.!.!.until you have reached the top of your head!. See it as an excercise in self controlWww@Answer-Health@Com

Many Airline's have courses to help people with flying anxieties!. There are drugs you could take but the problem is that people tend to abuse them and end up addicted to them!. The best approach is to be able to rationalize your fear of flying!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,

If you feel a panic attack or feelings of anxiety creeping up on you then try this word repetition technique that I learned that helps me to quickly 'snap out' of my panic attacks:

I simply repeat the words 'cream cake' over and over in my head as quickly as I can without stopping!. You could use any word or words you like really but that's what I chose (because I like cream cakes)!. It apparently works because it doesn't give your brain time to process the panicky thoughts and so helps you to relax again!. Seems strange I know !.!.!. but it works for me!

There's also a free ebook that I found really useful called 'Get Rid of Panic and Anxiety for Good'!. If you want to take a look you can find it at: http://curepanicattacks!.premiergold!.info!.!.!. Even though I got it for free it has helped me absolutely loads!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get a prescription for antivan from your doctor to help you relax while flying!. It's just a case of anxiety over flying and the pills will help you to relax and not be so stressed out while flying!. Antivan like Lorazepam works very effective for stressful situations, panic attacks, basically any situations where you wish to relax without being knocked out!. I use them when I have to go in the tunnel of an MRI machine!. You'll wonder why you never had them before when you flew!. Lorazepam (also Known By Its Brand Name Ativan Or Temesta) Is A Benzodiazepine Drug With Short To Medium Duration Of Action!. It Has All Five Intrinsic Benzodiazepine Effects: Anxiolytic, Sedative/hypnotic, Anticonvulsant And Muscle Relaxant!. Yes, works very nicely and forget the programs unless you fly all the time!. My advice will do the trick!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you can see a doctor about this!. They can prescribe a mild sedative to take before you fly!. Otherwise, there are programs which can help you get over your phobia, but unless you fly a lot, it won't necessarily be worth the money spent!. A little Xanax or Valium will do the trick nicely, and doctors generally understand this kind of thing as long as you don't have a history of drug abuse!.

I was booked onto the flight that crashed into the Skyway Bridge in Florida about 26 years ago!.!.!.I missed my flight, so I figure I'm not meant to die in a plane crash!. Want me to fly with you!? :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
