Perhaps there's a reason for your doctor putting you on that (5'8" and you want to be 115!?)!. I think maybe the anxiety is getting to you, and you should take your medication!. Also, my sister's been on it for a year now, and she's actually been losing a steady amount of weight; now that she's not depressed, she likes to get out and exercise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Start a routine of exercise and healthier eating, that always works to bring your weight down and make you feel great!. I don't know much about the drug in question, but it may or may not slow your metabolism and that may be why there could be words around weight gain!. Just get on a routine, don't get lazy and break it, and you should be fine!.
Hell, just don't eat more and become lazier as a result and you should be fine!.

Besides, you're taking it for depression and anxiety - don't you have worse things to worry about than your weight!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like that medicine might help you with your anxiety and depression!. I'd give it a go for two months and see how you feel!. You don't have a weight problem now, and I don't t hink that medicine is likely to cause one!.

Maybe you could t ake up an activity like brisk walking, aerobics, or jogging or something, which could also help you stay in shape and help with your anxiety/depression!. Also, have you considered possibly seeing a therapist to talk about any issues you might be having!? Both excercise as well as talk-therapy can help treat your depression/anxiety!.

Anyway, good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

there is a reason she gave you the lexapro!. I am actually in the process of getting off of it right now!. I had weight issues before hand (it has pretty much stayed the same) but i now realize that it had a lot to do with my anxiety before the lexapro!. Just take it if you need support there are a ton of lexapro websites!. It is actually possibe for you to loose weight on the meds too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello! Your have a valid question, and in the five years I have taken Lexapro it has had no affect on my weight!. A relative also taking it has had no problem either!. Believe me, once you get it in your system you will feel better, and shouldn't have any weight gain problemsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I think the problem here is the obsession with the weight issue!. If I found a medicine that could help he lead a happier life but would cause weight gain, I would choose to take the medicine!. I'd rather be fat and happy than thin and miserableWww@Answer-Health@Com

WELL IM ON IT RIGHT NOW AND IM LOSING WEIGHT WHICH IS THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT II WANT!. SINCE I DONT HAVE ANXIETY THAT MUCH ANYMORE ILL GET OUT AND DO ACTIVITIES CAUSING ME TO LOOSE CHERISHED WEIGHT!. I AM 5'3 AND 98LBS AND HATE IT I LOOK SO THIN AND FRAIL!.!.!.!.!.CLOTHES LOOK horrible ON ME!. I THINK IT LOOKS PRETTIER WHEN YOU HAVE SOME TYPE OF CURVE!. SO AT 5'8 115 is 2 da** small THAT IS MY GOAL WEIGHT plz do not let yourself get that skinny cuz u will look sick and aneroxic not sexy at all AND NO 1 WANTS THATWww@Answer-Health@Com

Relax, Lexapro does not make you gain weight!. Do you have an eating disorder!? 115 is ridiculous for 5'8, even for a model!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
